Hey guys, i've been lurking on the forum since the new book came out, because I thought i'd try my hand at collecting Vampire Counts, and i've been making some lists up in my head, but I thought I may as well get on down on paper (so to speak) to see what other people make of it.

I used to avidly collect every warhammer fantasy book there was, and meticulously read all of them, as I found it enjoyable knowing opponents armies better than themselves (a not too unrare occurance), but haven't bought the OK book, nor the TK book (too expensive), so I know what I might be up against, but anyway, here goes;

Lord in with the Blood Knights in the centre, flanked by the 2 skeleton units (one of them has the necromancer), then in turn flanked by the Black Knights, keeping everything in the General's march bubble (skeletons deployed deep).

20 black knights in 1 unit, save yourself the pts of the command models, that way both units benefit from barrows too!

Also, maybs make 1 unit of skeletons into a unit of 60 and make one a unit of 20 to bunker the necro behind the block of 60
