Consider the 200 point sword. 10 attacks, auto hit, auto wound, -2 armor and red fury. Otherwise I can't think of anything better for your lord.

Also I suggest more wizards to cap the monuments. Vampires do this best as they can hold stuff in close combat and heal themselves.

If I was your opponent I would be worried, thats for sure.

Ah yes, I always forget that there are magic items you can take in the Magic and Monsters allowance! I suppose I could potentially drop the Hydra for it...not sure though. The Cygor's definitely going to stay though because I like having a means of dropping rocks on the heads of my opponent's big nasties.

Also, I'd like to get some Vamps in there, but I decided to air on the side of more Rare choices. I want to try out the new Black Coach (especially in a SoM game!) and the Mortis Engine, so I had to sacrifice some points in the heroes department. Either way, the Dark Emissary is there as a relatively resilient wizard who can soak up punishment atop a Fulcrum. Plus, he still has a Regen save to count on if he gets knocked off by a Magical Duel. In any case, my sort-of sneaky plan here is to use the Dragonlord to capture an open Fulcrum late in the game. Arcane Fulcrums CAN in fact be garrisoned by a model of any troop type and with any mount, so long as he is a wizard. A Vampire Lord riding a Dragon can simply fly over to it, then perch himself atop it with Vanhel's in the Magic Phase.
