Well this is my first ever post here and yes I am jumping on the band wagon what with the new book and all. I have been wanting to start a vampire counts army for a long while though. I originally always wanted to paint a massive zombie unit though back then they wernt so useful. Now that they are I am strangely finding myself drawn to another type of undead army. The fluff behind the army idea is a Necromancer who has stumbled across an old barrow of soem description. He has summoned up the skeletons that were buried there. I also wanted as many ethereals as I could cram in to a 3000 point list. Anyway, see what you think. I have mostly gone with what I think will look good (in my opinion) whilst trying to keep some semblance of competitvenss, though I will admit that this isnt the most competitive list ever. And yeah I do want to keep both white kings - I love the GW model and the forge world BSB too.

Unless I have miscalulated I figure this to be 2999 on the dot.

I plan to paint most of this up in nice ethereal looking colours, including the black coach. I've seen a couple of nice examples on Carpe Noctum already and they have given me some good inspiration.

Everything looks good except the Black Knights, only 5 isn't a good idea, I suggest dropping them for more etherial.

Another suggestion is to get more necro's as IoN only heals 1 wound on etherials, you will need more healing.

Otherwise, for a fun list, looks good.
