Well rather than keep posting in my VC log I thought I may as well start another one, Here is some of my WoC, first up is my Khorne warriors with great weapons. I think I am pretty much happy with the result now, All I am waiting for is some more chaos warriors to arrive in the post so I can convert the final 3. As you can see I have decided to totally change the the way I do my bases in future. I am not going to be using skulls on all my chaos, my Tzeentch warriors will use the destroyed temple bases.

Here is a older picture of the chaos warriors which you can see the banner a lot more clearly, sadly I cannot finish the unit until a bitz order from ebay arrives with a load of chaos knight weapon hands arrive, I think I may well end up using these as chosen simply because I don't fancy the price tag on the current chosen models

Here is something I else I have been working on, not so sure on the glow effect, I think i might to google a decent tut on how to paint a glow effect.

I would love to say that is a freehand banner but it is not, its actually from a sticker pack GW used to sell for Chaos during 5th ed, I will certainly have a few freehand banners to come anyways.

I did a little update on the chaos sorcerer, I decided I didn't like the color, I still have to add in some slightly brighter highlights.

You've made really nice progress on that guy, logan. Just as usual your blending is very smooth and the overall choice of colours is very appealing . To further improve the glown on his hands, I'd advise to give the light more time to dissolve, meaning that you either make the bright part smaller or expand the effect a bit and blend it smoothly into the skin.

Hope this helps, he looks awesome nonetheless.

Worth the extra effort, that glow looks loads better. And I liked it the first time!

Cheers Nik, well I have been told on another forum it looks more like a night glow so i might want to tone it down a bit so it fits in better with my army.

Good work here as well, logan.

I especially like the banshees, they're really dynamic and well shaded. The woodies are cool as well, I like them even more because I'm a wood elf player. But to be honest I don't think the blue-ish white hair fits too well with the green colour scheme. I'd have gone for redheads. But that's just personal preference I guess. Still good work on all of them technically.

Cheers mate, with the woodies I was given a selection of colors to use for hair, your right a few red heads would certainly look good however at £2 a model I don't think he can complain

I have to say after painting some Eldar (Bar Guardians) I am very tempted to start a army, if I did I think I would do Ulthwe, i also think I would do the Banshee's very differently. I would still paint the raised plates a bone color however I would do the more materiel bits of the armour black.

Here we go, update on my Chaos sorcerer, still not finished, still have the leather to paint, ring, maybe some more work on the flesh, book, neat skirt up.

very nice stuff, you sure do know how to work the brush. I love the chaos stuff you have here, as well as the eldar. very nice! Hm... I've gotta pick up the slack on my eldar...

Cheers mate! glad you are liking it, when I can be arsed I was asked to make a tut on how to make great weapon warriors so i will more than likely post that here as well, hopefully I will have the eldar finished by tuesday so then I will get back to the WoC refurbishment, I will also have a update on the sorcerer tomorrow ( I did some more on him when I went in GW last thursday).

Well I thought I may as well do a armyt shoot, I was going to take some more pictures but the batteries started to die



While I know the picture is not great it is more to give a idea of what stage I am at with my WoC, I still have a few more bits to get to make up for the lose of beastmen and daemons, Atm I have about 26 Chaos knights, I plan to bulk that up to 40, 2 units of 8 with MoK + jugger hero, unit of 9 with MoK and mounted hero and a another unit of 9 with MoT + mounted hero, what I really want is for them all to be the old riders with the new hoses + new weapons. I currently have about 50 of the of the old marauders, I can find the models I plan to bulk those up into two units of 40, both MoK and the finally get another unit of 40 with MoT and HW+SH. I also plan to modernize my old dragon ogres with a box of ironguts. After that I just need another 8 chosen and maybe a couple of chariots and I think the army will be complete enough (until a new book comes out or warhammer forge make some funky models).
