AoW - Vampire Queen - IT'S FINISHED AND FOR SALE
It's finally happening; Avatars of War are going to make a vampire Vampire3.

Felix is, as always, open to suggestions and I think we should all help him making it as good as possible (We are after all VC players ourself and this is a great opportunity to get something else than those Klingons GW is producing). Thus i suggest that you join the AoW forum and comment on it.

Here's the link to the forum

Here's the link to the discussion thread

And here is the concept art of the new figure. Now go comment on the AoW forum...

RE: AoW - Vampire Queen
Well I've submitted my registration, just have to wait now.

Looking at the above model, I would say the horned helmet looks too chaosy. We want a proper Lahmian, a young looking beautiful women.

Disciple of Nagash, the perverted master,
The more you struggle, the more he goes faster.
Give him breast, and give him bust,
The more you give the more he thrusts.
And as you all shall soon see, there is nothing the we will not conceive
Whether dark or whether weird, its guaranteed to make you real
But in the end we all see, he is the forum master and perverted seed.

Relatively much actually. So far we've only had the opportunity to comment upon the beastman, necromancer, chaos dwarf and dire wolf (almost half of his models were already sculpted when he opened the forum).

I can't seem to find any of the old WIPs, but we really helped him avoiding some disasters grin

RE: AoW - Vampire Queen
Before his own forums, I think, he did this kind of stuff on WarSeer.
And boy did he listen. Quite some things were changed or even redone because of what we thought.

I would say that the most important thing would be to create something really different from the two Dark Elven women he already made.

As for the concept art, I would get another kind of sword. Or even a dagger.
And surely another head, preferably one without helmet or crown. Just.. hair, flowing on the wind.
And keep the boobies covered on this one! (like the torso on the drawing).

I have to agree with disciple and sibbechai helmet is to choasy just long black hair. she is too armoured to be a lahmian if she was to be of that bloodline she would have to be wearing robes and be a booby and legs model (not that im complaining but I do like the armour idea)
i just hope they dont mess up the head like they did with the original female dark elf they did where it was kind of like shaped like a pizza slice

RE: AoW - Vampire Queen
I like the armour as well... it can still be Lahmian.. just a lady that has realised that when it comes to open conflict on the field of battle, that armour is not a bad idea.. the scantily clothing can be left for the aristocratic chambers and halls... and the boobies need to be semi covered.. covered enough to offer some form of protection with the armour, but the cleavage still needs to be shown off.. we are talking Lahmian after all :lol2:

The helmet has to go, just does not suit at all. As others have already pointed out, long flowing black hair is the way to go.. I like the idea of a tiara as well.. something that could be seen to represent both the crown of the damned and the helm of commandment.. I'm not a fan of that sword either... I wouldn't go the path of a dagger, but I don't like the barbs on it or how it splits into two blades.. keep it as one blade, lean, angular, and razor sharp.

""Damn you, Jean-Claude, damn you."
"That, dear Anita, was done long before you met me."

"Damn you," I said softly and with feeling. Jean-Claude smiled, "We've been over that, ma petite, you are too late."

The way i see it, that female vampire can pass for either a)a Blood Dragon subjected to the overly sexed up principles of modern fantasy(ie:The More Skin You Show The Higher The Armor Class) OR b)a Lahmian, what with the butt and that runway pose.

Either way, I have to agree about the helmet though. It's suspicious...in the TORCHES AND PITCHFORKS!BURN THE HERETIC! kinda way

Cool, but if you want to affect the outcome of the mini you should sign up on the AoW forum and let the sculptor know what you think.

I hate it. It looks like a perfect replica of the Dark Elf Queen model that they just produced.
The difference? It has fangs and a bat. Very original. Nice.

She does look a bit similar.

Anyway I have posted a link on AoW to this thread, so the designer can come have a look at our comments.

RE: AoW - Vampire Queen
I think the model is a bit off, although I wouldn't know what to point out it is.

Maybe because it indeed looks like a DE... and the horns make here look like a daemon.

Also, why the obsession of the bats and skulls on the armour? The bat on the hand is fine but having skulls and bats are decorative armour as a undead herself looks odd... It screams 'I'm a fan of these beasties' and it plain sucks.

Make it plain armour without the skulls because it looks crowded.

Less is more I'd say, and I don't mean less clothes *looks at DoN*

RE: AoW - Vampire Queen
Face: Remove helmet, flowing hair instead. The facial expression should be a sardonic smile. Also remove the neck rings, give her a free head. The neck rings are far too African and are opposed to my idea of a vampire.

Shoulders: Remove the skull pauldron, but keep the other one. Giving the impression of a-symmetry. Perhaps cover the shoulder with cloth, or leave it bare. The big neckguards are a no-no, to machoistic, keep them smaller.

Sword: Love it, no changes except for a slight slimming down, don't make the curves out so obvious.

Body: Pretty much fine, maybe a little less emphasis on the bats. Make the armour resemble bats, and make you think of it, but don't have a bat. Lahmians are meant to be subtle, this model screams blood dragon.

Legs: Really wonderful, I love the tabard. Again less obvious undeadiness, make her more subtle.

Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.

Regard your soldiers as your children, and they will follow you into the deepest valleys; look on them as your own beloved sons, and they will stand by you even unto death.

I agree with what's been said on her; she looks too much like a Dark Elf in Chaos armor. I'm certain that AoW will get it done right though.
