Well I'm going especially since its at the same place we had round 1, no going to another province/nearby state O:

I really have to give it my all, the top player gets a free 3000 Points army (which according to previous 'ard boyz, is larger than 3000 pts after upgrades, items, etc)

the 2 runner-ups get vouchers for the webstore.

But I know I am up against tough competition, Empire guy won 1st place last time and WILL be back, he had arch lector, infantry, knights, 6 war machines, etc.. not sure on the exact stuff his list had, I may very well have to face him this time around, and 3 minor victories will not cut it here! O:

I'm not sure which army to even take yet - Dark Elves are ready but I'm trying to finish assembling all my god damn converted VCs!

I am going as well and hoping to do the VC proud. I would love to get that 3k army. I have been building a WOC army using only tourney prizes, but only have about 1k so far.

Im going as well and so far I have knocked out both 1st and 3rd from last years semi tournament in the pre lims so to be honest Im the favored one to win lol. I will be taking the old vampires because I really do think they are the strongest tournament army at this point level. But hey thats another rant for another time, I hope to hear that I will get to meet some of you guys at the finals this year. Good luck to all and lets show all those nay sayers that vampires are still one of the best armies out there.

Well, I didn't get the 3k army...but I'm still going to Chicago. 3rd place baby, utterly destroyed high elves after a terribad game vs another daemon player.

Yeah I placed third as well, sadly.

Got a draw against Empire and then was beaten down properly by a WoC - Tzeentch warriors.
They are bloody annoying to deal with.

Tzeentch Warriors with Halberds and banner of Rage. Even if you flank them, you get hit by minimum 9 S5 attacks or more if he moves his Lord to that side to throw a ton of S6 attacks.

I got completely demolished and my rolling was incredibly incredibly poor! D:

4 Close Combat phases to deal ONE wound on the Hellcannon - I managed to wound only TWICE in FOUR rounds of close combat. Those 6s just weren't happening, first wound got 'ward saved' by the Monsters&Handlers rule, a dwarf died. But it was too late, I had been tarpit'd far too long.

I could afford going there but no way am I paying a plane ticket (to go and then come back) to play the finals. Its not worth the expenses.
