Army List Builder

I've found this Website were it has an army list builder for most army books i dont know how legal this is but it is very good, even though the rules for certain things are not to thorough.
Link:

It allows you to build your army list without the hassle of writing it up and comes with printable verisons

RE: Army List Builder

This one is imho good for getting to know the items of other armies.

Personally I use this site: http://thegreatuncleanone.com/
You get an overview of your list and you can bulid appendix-lists, which are not present at the japanese site.

RE: Army List Builder

sadly that site is not made for firefox (an the site tells you that every time you change page) so it's not that grand.

I must admit that I prefer Wolflairs armybuilder. Yes, I do know that they cost money but with the service they provide, I believe it is something you easily overcome.

RE: Army List Builder

I use wolflairs army builder as well and i have heard some people slate it ive never had an issue with it. For work i created my own version for my dwarves on Excel so my boss thinks im doing something for the company rather than thinking up new lists - it only took me about an hour to make as well

RE: Army List Builder

Hello everyone, while I'm old to the hobby, I'm new to your site. Saw this thread and a request for "Army BUilder" by LoneWolf Development. I do highly reccomend this program. Very versitle. Updated frequently with rules changes, new codexes/army lists. One of the best parts...The devlopment of the "game systems" are all done by the community.

In addition to WHFB, you can also find Data Files (Basically the different game systems) for WH40K, Blood Bowl, Necromunda, Battle Fleet Gothic, Epic,Confrontation, Warmachine, Starship Troopers, and many others. Best of all...all of the "Data Files" are free to download.

Its basically a "shell" program that you plug-in what ever game system you want (or create your own) then click to build your army list, units, options, spells, etc.

Wow this really sounds like an add for the site huh. I assure you I am in no way affiliated with Lone Wolf Devlopment heh :P

Happy Building,
Wilhelm

( Uses the Demo of Armybuilder, enfin.. )

The only issue I wonder about is that it seems impossible to keep track of whats there with a list of more then 1000 points..

Or am I gonig the wrong way again?

While it may see that way at 1st, its really not that bad. I will say that at times the "build-the-list view" does look cluttered, however you get used to it pretty quickly, and the print-out view is very configurable...you can nest units (generals, characters, etc) inside of their respective units. You can add the spell casting tables, you can also add the "options" like gear (great sword, mount, armor) or Magic items (Ward Save items, bound spell items, etc), and you can even have them displayed on their own line (while making the print out a bit longer, it defenately helps when trying to see what crazy options you have have added to characters/units.

Cheers
Wilhelm

RE: Army List Builder

Well army builder version 3 is fully up and works great I dont have a link to it as I was able to update my version 2 all on line through it - sorry.

It does work really well and its great when you are 90% of the way into making your list and you are doing the little tweeks - "if I take 2 guys off this unit and add this option to here and give this magic item to him..."

RE: Army List Builder

There is a link from the wolflair page. http://www.wolflair.com/rightframe.php?c..._downloads

Not sure if the new VC are in there yet though. I believe there is usually about a 1 month turnaround time for new army books to be imported into Army Builder.

Here is the link to the yahoo group. I believe you have to join the group before you can download the updates.

RE: Army List Builder

This may be slightly irrelevant, but I use the demo for Wolflair's army builder to create units that I add to my own database-army-list template-creater-thingo-of-doom, it looks fairly professional in my opinion.
An example.

Yeah it is, took me a while to get the layout and functions and everything (started as a school project), but it works well.[/align]
