Dread Knight avoiding challenges

If a unit that includes both a champion and Dread Knight Vampire may the champion issue a challenge so that the Dread Knight Vampire can strike at regular rank and file?

Imbedded in fear, I stand and face the oppressor
Death drawn by my side, the taste of revenge invades me
The eyes of uncertainty, the slow drawn breath of those about to die
I will not keep death nor let it remove me

I wish, but no that's not the case - The Vampire with Dread Knight must issue a challenge or accept any challenges issued.

It's similar to the Kastellen Blood Knight unit Champ Marital Honor.

OK! Just wanted to see if there was a way around it. I didn't think so but worth knowing for sure.

RE: Dread Knight avoiding challenges

The only way "around" it would be to have more then one. Since only one challenge can be fought at a time.

Fantasy: Vampire Counts - 4k, Bretonnians - 3k, Dark Elves - 2k, Beastmen - 2k
40k: Eldar - 6k+, Chaos (Emperor's Children) - 3k, Dark Eldar - 2.5k, Sisters of Battle - 2.5k,

My Biel-Tan Eldar (2k - Mixed list)

RE: Dread Knight avoiding challenges

Yeah I was just getting clarification. I don't think it'd even work with a second Dread Knight Vamp unless they have equal leadership. Dread Knight seems to say you don't have to issue/accept challenges if there's another Vamp with higher leadership or Krell.

Yep the only way to weezle out of dread knight challenges is if you challenge with a character with higher leadership. Or by using Krell, my gaming group doesn't allow special characters sad
