Goblin Fanatics

Hello smile

If a Night Goblin unit is in a forest and are forced to release their fanatics, do the fanatics die immedieatly without being able to move at all?

RE: Goblin Fanatics

I have not played OnG much with their new book but I am pretty sure the rules stayed the same.

Yes they would die. Even if they were on a hill they would die as the rule said they die if they hit terrain, which includes walls, rivers, buildings and the like.

RE: Goblin Fanatics

New rules say any terrain other than a hill. So yes, they would be destroyed going through a forest.

Imbedded in fear, I stand and face the oppressor
Death drawn by my side, the taste of revenge invades me
The eyes of uncertainty, the slow drawn breath of those about to die
I will not keep death nor let it remove me

On a related note: is there any reason why ethereals cannot squish fanatics (or mangler squigs)? Since their 2d6/3d6 hits are not magical would they then not take any wounds from crushing them?

Stopping an ethereal on a fanatic would indeed kill it, the rules for them (afaik) is that if you have to stop on one, you take the initial D6 hits, an additional D6 hits then it dies. However, they can't hurt the ethereals w/o magic attacks so they just die.

RE: Goblin Fanatics

As OnG as my main Army.

If a NG unit is in a building, any faniatics are lost when released. (OnG FAQ) and if in wholy wihin the trees. If one part of the unit is outside the trees the OnG player may launch them from that spot and it does not have to be at the unit that popped them. If a Fanatic hits any terrain besides a hill it dies.

They can not be charged, and if you move into contact with them they die. Its 1d6 for contact and 1d6 for it dieing. Not magical so it cant hurt ethernals.

Its just move into contact with them, You dont have to stop on them for them to die. The HexWraths can move right over them and teh fanatics die.

For Mangler Squigs, same thing when you hit them. The Mangler Squigs take a dangerous terrian test if they go over any terrian other than hills.
