From the dark deapth of space the organism known as tyranid seeks to devour all life. Much like a mythical creature the vampire they drain all life from the worlds they invade, leaving only a dead rock in there wake. One hive fleet which has always roamed the shadows of the other fleets comes to the front now. Hive fleet Nosferatu who has feed upon the knowledge gained by the other hive fleets before them. Now is there time to Invade leaving cold death in there wake.



This was the original test figure of the project which started out known as the Ice world nids.



This is one of my many brood lords twin rending claw's for better carnage.

These guys look just like my nids, only in blue. Nice, quick color scheme, though. I'm sure you can pump a lot of good looking models out like that.

How many armies to you have?

Looking good though. Interesting idea, Vampires and Tyranids. Out of curiosity, how did this idea arise? (hehe)

We have one of every army, jedi. In both fantasy and 40k in various stages of completion. As for how nids started as vampiric well they were my first 40k army and being vampire counts was my first fantasy army it seemed right. Our other pet name was hive fleet fenrir but it was already taken.

Ice world nids are our 4 nid color scheme, it started out purple. This is the final evalution of the painting of nids. Least for now until we start a diffrent branch of them.

Thanks for all the kind comments, I Wanted the coloring to looka s if the nids blended in with there enviroment. Of a unknown ice plannet.

Genius! Blue Terror. Man, you just inspired me to continue working on my Tyranid army. I wanted to do an Ice themed Tyranid army as well but it kind of fell apart. I don't make much money. When I have enough I will get started, however.

Aye hivemind I understand I would suggest one model at a time it is how we do it most of the time. Besides then when the army is completely gathered it is also painted. Nothing funner then to field a fully painted army.

Nice, I like the oldschool Carnifex. I'm a sucker for those older models.
Just a quick question - have you played with this army at all? If so, how do you find Biovores to be? I've heard a lot of conflicting answers on that subject.

Your army is looking very cool.... see what I did there? oh and biovors are the bees knees in my opnion. There cheap and chearfull and can bring the pain. Take 2 and your good, no more, no less.

I haven't played any in the new edition. But in the older one I never used biovores, Most of my army is a swarm hormaguants and genestealers. With a few freinds such as tyrants (this one) and thropes. I also ussualy took two carnifex's. With the new edition im using Khorne space marines, and havent play tested nids much. I plan to latter this fall.
