Greetings,

The Council has decided to put up a thread for the collection of suggestions. The eye of the Staff can miss a thing sometimes, and there is where you jump in!

If there is something you like or dislike, you can suggest it here. The Council will look at the suggestion and act accordingly.

So let's get them coming. What are you waiting for?

Any chance of a site navigator thing at the bottom of the page as well as the top? (the 'CN Forum / News and Intro's / The Master's Room / Member Suggestions Thread' thing). Would make it easier to not have to scroll to the top of the page each time...

Just to let you know (though you may well know already), the link from the warvault site still links to the old Carpe Noctem.

I hope I'm not repeating something that was brought up elsewhere.

I hope i don't sound too naggy but here I go....

The bar that seperates the post from the signature is hard to make out and makes the signature look like part of the post.

The post - signature can be quite irritating indeed. I read a thread and thought: I read that before, didn't I?

Is there a way to have a 'show first unread post' button?
Now you have to search till where you read the topic.. quite irritating..

Last one: is it possible we'll ever see our loved VC smilies back?

Another thing: will we get Bloodlines again? (I really liked the Bloodline-specific icons under the avatars.. :wink: )
And will we start/re-open the bloodline competition?

There is: look at the header bar on any given page (except inbox and user cp etc). The header in which it says 'Welcome back, [username]. Then you have the option to visit the User CP and to Log Out.

Under that very line, you see 'view new posts' and 'view today's posts'. Those are two ways of finding the newest posts.

Though, this problem should soon be solved when we get our portal/frontpage. This will show the 'view new posts' link a bit more clearer (eg, in the navigation menu).

The ones we had were a bit small. I'll be looking at smilies who are of the same size as the guys we now have (they are a lot bigger!). I'll have to make them myself I think.

Probably not. You can fill in the bloodline in your profile settings, and it shows in your profile. I think I might bring it into the post profile too.

Arcum made the graphics and since April/May he seems to have disappeared. He e-mailed me after that once asking for me becoming co-admin on a WHFB site he was making... though I never had a reply to the e-mail I send him back.

I think adding more details to the post profiles makes it too messy.

Hmm I've heard many people ask this and I honestly I don't know. It's a lot of work and I'd like to update some other things first. I've got some plans on fun competitions.... not necessarily bloodline bound but still fun. Stay tuned to the Website News forum.

I'm really happy with the new site.. I've adapted to it quite well in relation to being used to the old site's format and all..

I know this thread is meant to be for suggestions of what people would like to see, but I wanted to congratulate you on a change that I have been very happy with.. the size of the avatars... finally I can go looking for a nice looking avatar, and not have the detail lost when I upload it like has happened on the old site and other sites that I frequent.. I spend the time picking one out (then changing it after awhile once I get bored), it;s nice that other's can see it, as well as nice to be able to see what others choose for their own.. Oh, and I love the random quote, always look to see what it is on each visit..

There is one thing that I would like to see though, an improvement that could be made... the creation of a new forum called 'Lahmians were born to rule the VC, all you plebs know it, now do something usual and go and clean our gowns and polish the silverware!'

Haha, I just don't think some of the members will agree on that.


I think I've updated all suggestions. Only Avaris' suggestion. I don't know how to do it, so asked it on MyBB. I think they'll give me an answer soonish.

Maybe you could add some Quotes from famous people as well. Like quotes from Sun Tzu's "Art of War" or other famous generals.

Initially it had those quotes. But I didn't felt them to be really appropriate in a Fantasy setting. 'War' quotes maybe, but I'd like to keep them funny and striking...

Just forum quotes generally. :mrgreen:

Nothing can do about that one. The grey on black is a lot more effective than some of our alternatives.
