Greetings,

I found that the monthly update and news topic is way too slow to bring updates or changes. Hence this topic. Whenever a change or an update occurs, it'll be posted here.

If you ever have no clue what a new feature does or how you can access old features (who may have been moved elsewhere), this'll be the topic to look in! Though, no one is allowed to post in here. Posts will be deleted upon doing so. The reason for this is because we want to have an ordered way of updating this post.

I've given Admins and Mods an icon in posts and profile so you can quickly who are the Staff on this forum.

You can now collect Zombies to give rise to your CN army! You gain these points by posting up replies, polls and threads. We've made it a secret how much points you gain by doing each, we'll let you figure that out!

You can donate zombies by clicking on the number of zombies of another member. You'll probably see a decimal point of zombies. That means you're raising one! :P

You can also see this on your profile.

As you might have noticed, the forum markers have been replaced.

A forum with new posts shows a blood drop.
A forum with no new posts shows an empty box.
A forum that is closed shows a red X.

New smilies have been added ! Examples:

The old ones are kept, although to view the code for them, you have to click the 'get more' link at the bottom of the smilies box. You'll also notice that there are more smilies than just shown on the new reply/thread page!

Woa, a bit of puzzling at the moment here. Everything should be ok now.

I've changed all the borders to a red. Links are shown in a greyer colour, nearly white. This is to make the links out from the rest. If you hover over a link now, it will show in an underlined red.

Right-o. For some people the Portal Page is old news, but for some people it might be new!

It does what it says on the tin - the portal to our magnificent forum. And I'm currently adjusting it so it can be of better use for everyone.

And I've just made my first custom table within the page, which is promising! The table I'm mentioning, is the table with the 'Welcome to Carpe Noctem' header.

The Portal page will be the center of our forum in the future, and there will be links between the forum index and the portal page (no worries digging that up).

You could call it the homepage... I'm not so fan of the name 'portal' page

I've removed the navigation from the index page, as it simply does not have a function.

All the other pages which do need a navigation should still have one. If not, please note here: link

Woohoo! A navigation has been made in the name of CN!

As you see, there is enough space to fill out, but the navigation bar will fill up!

Currently, the link showing 'home' refers to the portal page. It will redirect you there. The portal page still has to undergo some changes (adding a navigation there too).

User Control Panel also shows a 'home' link on the dropdown panel. This refers to the homepage of your user CP. Try it out, I guess.

The rest speaks for itself.

edit: oh, to see if you have new PM's, check User CP -> put your mouse over Inbox -> it says so on the right in a new pop-up.

An update about the navigation at the top. The buttons User Control Panel and News have become links themselves. If you click on User Control Panel, you go to your User CP 'home' page (this is not your inbox). If you click on News, you'll go to the Announcements forum. This previously wasn't the case.

I have finally fixed the white MyBB box background when you do new reply or thread. I have also made a start on changing the colour of the button backgrounds, however that is currently WIP, as I am not happy with the colour of the buttons.

Ok, I have put in the Forum Announcement / Sticky Thread separation bars. I have also finished with the basic buttons, I just need to finish the change to the highlighting on them. I would appreciate any feedback here: link

Been hard at work again! I have changed the post icons. You can see what they each made by hovering your pointer over them, I think they look better, especially the flaming skull & crossbones for locked There are still a couple I have to do mind you, so don't be surprised to see one of the old icons pop up.............

Couple of changes. Firstly I have been updating the post icons such as exclamation mark, question mark etc. Once they have all been updated I will enable them for new threads.

I have also now added an option for when you create a poll. Basically the option allows people who post in the poll to retract their vote, and vote for another option if they change their mind. Kudos to MV for pointing out this plugin to me.

We now have a random banner generator installed. The three banners you see are courtesy of Ryadasu, unfortunately we had to take the yellow one down due to GW copyright.
