Modelling undead spellcasters and flying giant lizards
This is a two-part thread, because I didn't find much that was helpful in thw other 15 pages of threads in here *eyes are sore from scanning practically every tome in the huge library*
High Elven necromancer - I went into my local GW store last Thursday and saw the greatest thing ever. Somebody had taken the High Elf Mage (the one on the floating rocks, y'know?) and used Lizardmen Skink bitz and a lot of Green stuff to convert it - pretty convincingly actually - into a lizard headed Tzeenchian sorceror. My question is, using the High Elf Mage as the starting point, can anyone suggest anything to do that would be good for a Necromancer?
High Elf Zombie Dragon - just what it says on the tin; taking the HE dragon/rider as a start, what do you guys think would be a good way to convert it into a zombie dragon? Just GS the heck out of it?
RE: Modelling undead spellcasters and flying giant lizards
Hmm this makes me want an actual undead caster, i mean, non vamp...like a skelemancer! muah
As per the high elf dragon im converting it myself, --- just gouge - cut - rip, tear some of the middle out of the wings and put strands between them, cut part of the face off and green stuff some bone, should be easy enough
actually if you check out the golden bat entry thread a fellow took a high elf dragon already and although it never made it into the contest final (never got paitned) it was a good looking conversion you might wanna look at

Try the fanged vampire heads from the corpse cart sprue and perhaps add some more ancient looking equipment to the mage. Ooh, and he'd need a skull topped staff to distinguish him as a practitioner of the dark art.
