Mounted Wight King Builds

Hello fellow generals of Undeath!

I'm looking for a good WK build to lead my Black Knights and hoping that some of you have some good builds. I was thinking something like this myself:

Wight King
-Barded Steed
-Sword of Strife
-Enchanted Shield
-Ironcurse Icon
-Heavy Armour

What do you think?

He loses killing blow if he takes the sword of strife.

I believe in 8th Killing Blow is now part of the rule's models, not the weapon rules. This means he retains the killing blow special rule with magic weapons.

There is no mention of losing the Killing Blow special rule in the BRB description of Killing Blow (however, there is in Poisoned Attacks (BRB pg 73)) so to me, he keeps the rule.

RE: Mounted Wight King Builds

He does indeed retain Killing Blow while using a magic weapon, which is nice and all. Personally, I have yet to be convinced that magic weapons on Wight Kings are any good; WS 4, S 4, and 3 attacks doesn't really seem to warrant spending 40 points on a magic weapon, when you can get a lance or GW for 5 points.

That being said, I think the 1+ AS with Ironcurse is spot on for a unit of Black Knights, and I guess the 5 attacks combined with +1 to hit (I assume BotB?) and KB could add some extra punch for protracted combats.

Night shroud makes him virtually unkillable and still leaves room for iron curse...
