I looked everywhere but couldn't find this.... probably cause it's clear enough but honestly I just want to be clear. With the new Van Hels... you cannot charge because the movement is "remaining moves" right?

Exactly right. You effectively get to move as though you've skipped the "declare charges" part of the movement phase.

but you get the move and the buff with a single casting of the spell, which can be very nice when you use it to move into the enemy's charge range.

Besides, unless there are cav or certain magic items involved it either doesn't matter or is better(Spears) to be charged than not (not counting the +1 CR of course.)

So just move them up, let your unit get charged, use those spears if ya got em, and get that IoN after the unit's first round of CC not the 2nd.

That's actually kinda a nice way to look at it;

Though I don't see why anyone would charge them (especially if they have spears), instead of just wasting a turn and making you charge the next round??

Although I also feel like every other army in the game wants to just laugh at me and shot/magic phase my face off (A second time) while I slug towards them. I dunno maybe I'm just crazy.
