hey guys, going up against a themed nurgle demon army next week, anybody know some good tactics, or dos and donts?

2k battle, other than it including that special character (he calls him epidermis) with the poison tally im not sure what he will be fielding. he did mention once a while back that he can take a handful of heralds each with the same demonic gift that allows them a brutal sounding bound spell. i think it was d6 S5 hits, then my unit has pass a toughness test or take another d6 S5 hits, then pass another toughness test, rinse and repeat.

im thinking of going magic heavy for defense against the possible heralds but other than that any help would be much appreciated! cheers

A balefire corpse cart is quite a good defense against bound spells. Further you'll need flaming attacks somewhere for he has regeneration.

Take ghouls and crypt horrors. The tally will affect their poisoned attacks as well as his (it maikes it so poisoned attacks auto wound on a 4+). Another unit you could try would be knights. He'll get a lot of wounds on you due to poisoned attacks but his low strength will do nothing to your armour.

Rod of flaming death. Cast it on any large unit of plaguebearers. watch them just try to move in their next turn.

Since it's only 2k you probably won't have to worry about the great unclean one. Trust me you are super lucky. This thing is hard to kill.

Here's something else you can try. A bunch of vampires in a unit of skeletons with the banner of eternal flame. Make sure they all have great weapons and red fury. Give one of them the other trickster's shard and let him deal with the heralds. Just make sure they have mundane weapons or they will lose flaming attacks.

Lastly, if you want you can take a strigoi ghoul king with the skabscrath. That will give him flaming attacks and a death shriek. Your opponent will be leadership 9 so the shriek should so some damage. If you take this guy give him the other trickster's shard and red fury and watch him tear units apart!!!

There's a lot of options for you. I sure hope this helps.
