Undead catapult game

I was looking at http://www.manticgames.com/Shop-Home/Und...apult.html

I wondered two things.

1. If my opponent would agree, what should be the point value and stats of the item? I was first thinking it should be the same as the dwarf grudge tosser (or whatever it's called) but then I figured it should have some sort of undead twist, not sure off hand, my next thought took my attention.

2. Better yet, make it an objective for a VC vs VC game. Put two or three in the middle of the map and whoever gets it can use it. The catapult it's self is indistructable but the crew can be healed by IoN.

Some special rules:
In order to activate the catapult a charicter must join the crew.
No Zomies within 8 inches anywhere around it. Or else it would be a huge quagmire.

What do you guys think?

RE: Undead catapult game

I'd keep the rules for the Chucker simple, 50pts, S3/6 Stone Thrower, causes panic tests if it scores any kills, can be upgraded to Flaming Skulls (go figure) for +5 points.

Special scenario rules are more complicated, I'd say the battery starts with no crew, but wizards from either side can cast IoN on a chucker to raise Skeleton Sappers (they start off in the ground, obviously :p) & once a side has raised them all the skellies in a battery need to be destroyed before the other side can raise them. I'd also make it possible to destroy them (T7, W3 like most war machines), as a second choice to occupying them. +100 bonus VPs for having skeleton crew on each Chucker, 50VP for destroying them. Instead of one big battery in the middle I'd have 1-2 on either side of the battlefield, 2-4' apart depending on the size of table.

IoN can only be cast on one Chucker at a time, D6 roll 1-3 = 1 Skeleton, 4-6=2 Skeletons raised.

Ophidicus does not own a Black Coach. If, in future, he does own one, and during a game someone tries to "roll their pool of no power dice," never mind Evocation, they're getting the Enemacation of Death.

RE: Undead catapult game

I was thinking of using one with the rules for hte screaming skull catapult from the Tomb Kings army. And maybe, if it's ok with my opponent then maybe giving it a bound spell that can be used once per game that would summon a unit of skeletons where it lands (at least 1" from an enemy unit). The number of skeletons created would depend on the number of casualties that had been inflicted during that shooting phase.

Mind if I borrow for a small campaign siege game I'll be doing? wink

Awesome-tastic idea.

If they give you lined paper, write the other way.

As long as the rules are not to crazy then I would let you use them as long as they are painted.
