Welcome to the Legion of Nagash!

Its been a while since this project started, and although progress has been made I realise new members may be unsure as to what is going on here, and so less able to help. As a result of this, the project is slowing almost to a standstill. This post is intended to help people new to the idea of the legion find their way around what we are doing.

The basics
The aim of this project is to create an army list for the Legions of Nagash, as they might be found in the current warhammer timeline. The ultimate aim would be to playtest it and make it playable, before potential publication in the Watchman webzine (which is edited by Voltaire). In this version, Nagash himself has been weakened considerably by multiple deaths and the loss of his magic artifacts, and is mainly served by the Cult of Nagash; fanatical servants who worship him as a god. The direction was originally decided in this thread.

Based on the direction decision, we have formed an Army List of desired units, all of which are intended to be included in some form or another. For simplicity, I have included it here.

Quote:Special Characters
The Body and Spirit of Nagash
Dieter Helsnicht
Melkhior
Arkhan the Black
The Crone in the Black Pyramid

Semi Special Characters (it is likely these will operate in a similar way to the Arch Lector and Empire General (Elector Counts), with no specific name associated with them)
The head of the Cult of Nagash
The head of the Nagashi

Lords
Dread Lord (Level 1 Wight Lord - think of the Ringwraiths)
Master Necromancer
Revenant (similar to a banshee)

Heroes
Wight Lord
Nagashi Captain (living hero)
Necromancer/Acolyte
Assassin

Core
Nagashi Skeletons
Nagashi Infantry (0-1 per captain, livng troops)
Zombies
Cultists (living troops)

Special
Nagashi Fast Cavalry (living troops)
Black Knights
Grave Guard
Elite skirmishers
Wraithwisp (more powerful Spirit host)

Rare
Shard of the Pyramid (similar to casket of souls and other immobile objects)
Spectral Cavalry

The System
Our object is to ensure everyone is agreed upon the units included in the army. To do so, a thread is started for the express discussion of a certain unit, for example the Nagashi Skeletons. Once a general consensous is reached, either Voltaire or myself will add a poll to the thread, asking if it should be made 'official'. This remains open for one week, and in order to be passed the entry must get a majority of 'yes' votes, with at least 5 votes overall. Once the vote is passed, the entry is added to the Things that are certain thread, and we can move onto a new unit.

Current Issues
Feel free to contribute to any of the following discussions:
Nagash
Cultists and Zealots
The Lore of Nagash
Spectral Cavalry

If you have any questions/comments/suggestions please post them here. We want as much help with this project as possible!
