it is a good start
nice work on the brass colour on the giant tuba thing
it contrasts really well with the purple cloth

it might just be the unit set up for that photo but the brass seems to be closer too the camera, maybe put some brass on the shield details any where else in the unit to mix it up a little#

Wow, that is better than a good start, that is a superb start. Love the uniform purple, and the metalwork is nicely shaded.

If you do want to use this thread to update the progress of your army, it can be moved to painting logs as Vekarin said.

You know what you're doing, that's for sure!

Do you have a backstory for your amy, yet? Was this army raised from the battlefield of a particular war or fight?

For a color scheme, you might want something that compliments the nice purple coloring that you have throughout the army, rather than being a different shade. If you go violet (and I'm assuming by "violet" that you mean a lighter shade of purple than you're using) then your army will turn into a "shades of purple" army. Nothing wrong with that, but it may not be what you are looking for.

I'd suggest going red and yellow in your zombies. Scab red will compliment the purple and add depth to your force. (Dirty the zombies up nicely, though, because you don't want too much red. Maybe the leathers should be brown, to keep the red from overpowering things.) Use a greyish white for the flesh.

Are you going for a older style sylvannia army. The skeletons look amazing.

The zombies your doing are breath taking. I love the kitbash your doing with them. Which leads me to suggest if your doing spirit hosts any time soon that is our monthly challenge for February.

nice, looks like the ones i made from the High elf dragon princes. They are such a great kit and make, IMHO, more awesome blood knights then the blood knights do

IDK, if you are done with the armor for the guy and the horses? But my only advice would be to add more accents to the armor, like silver or gold for the shields or face plate of the horse etc etc.
Just and example of what im talking about if you havent seen mines yet.


BTW, love the face/head, what kit is it from?
