@InkubPendragon Good thing you bumped this thread up, very cool stuff here! I went through the whole blog, you are responsible getting my girlfriend mad since I just stared your minis, drooling all over, not listening to her stuff haha xD But anyways, one thing I want to see is an army shot. Then we can see just how well your troops bind together with your chosen color scheme. I hope you keep this thing going!

Thanks a lot Sessioni. Taking photo of my whole army is a little problematic, I don't have a proper lightning and a table I'm afraid. And I'm almost without special units;) But I will try in coming months:)

Here are three bases of my new ghosts painted lately, very easy and fast method, I waited more for paint to dry then painted them actually. There will be a tutorial showing this method on my blog in this week too.

Another ghosts, very old one this time. I repainted him and other old ghosts in order to better show them on single bases, which will be used in skirmish games, like Frostgrave. This particular was also used for taking photos for etheral painting tutorial, which I will publish on my blog tomorrow.

Very nice ethereal color scheme, I don't recognise the model at all though, where is it from?

Would be interested to read the blog post so let us know when it's up.

The etheral effect looks great on the old ghost, but much flatter on the new ghosts. Maybe it's old, but still looks cool ;) Also, thanks for the tutorial

@Borgnine - new ghosts are flatter from two reasons. First - they are much smoother then older ghosts. Second - green wash, final step in the tutorial, was applied in very, very, very limited quantity and areas.

Very nice, are you not putting bases on them?

All of them are based, they are removed in Picasa software though for "cinematic" photos. Unaltered bases are visible on my blog:)

@InkubPendragon RE removing the bases with Picasa, what a great idea. Definitely makes for a more dramatic photo. Great work, love the banshee hair!

    Thanks a lot:)

Mid-Warhammer ghosts now. Just one base, as I wanted them in my collection, not for gaming.
All three variants on one base.

That old ghost really shows how much GW had progressed during all those years. Still, it works good for showing all the gradients you put on him. Nice work on him and the LOTR ghosts

Have you tried doing some shading under your models. If you put it a fair bit below it could give the illusion that they're hovering. Might be cool =)

On bases of miniatures painted for Frostgrave there is this ethereal glow visible:) Here bases are mostly retouched, so it is not easy to see it.

Anyway, some more udeads. Dead men of Dunharrow by my bro, Mormeg, ghost is painted by me.

As usual, great minis and great photos! The red hair on banshees look quite vibrant, even though it could use some contrasts/highlighting in my opinion. Still, great work :)
