Here is Part 23 of Tilea's Troubles. This time it IS a prologue to a battle report and not an epilogue confused (by me) for a prologue like the last one. I promise to be more careful in future - I think late-night hobbying was to blame!

What other Warhammer forums are out there?

EEFL is indeed 'somewhat' active, and I visit often - especially for rules questions (FvonSigmaringen 'Attorney at RAW' is the go to guy for solid answers). The Oldhammer forum ( Oldhammer Forum • Index page ) is getting quieter, as people seem to be posting instead on the (for me)...

TBH, the players and the dice do that ... I am a narrator, historian and I suppose the author, but it is more like writing non-fiction, for I am reporting on what happens. I tie it together, by making sense of it from various NPCs' perspectives. Admittedly, I can let my imagination flow for the...

    So, what's everyone working on?

Simple answer, your Solar Majesty ... I thought they looked silly! Or, more accurately, I much preferred the models without branches. I also wanted the the Black Tree ones to mix in well. And also, the swamp scenery I modeled is more like sinking sands and mires than tangled roots/branches.

Thanks for the comments. I am going to make another video next, the battle, then move the story on (developments have occurred) while painting up a regiment of swamp zombies necessary for the campaign. Re: Perette - even David, the skaven player, didn't want her to die! But it was a failed...

    So, what's everyone working on?

Currently working on some swamp zombies. I de-root & branched the new GW ones, making 23 from the sprue with some other bits kitbashed in, then bought 12 of the Black Tree Designs (Zombies of the Sweltering Swamps) to mix it up a bit more. I was hoping they would scale well and ... I think they...

Thanks MedMos for your post. It blows my mind that someone is really engaging with the story, and 'gets it'. I'm working on the next video, an old orc versus orc battle, right now. I ended up doing 30 new pics for it! Sheesh! I can't wait for the videos to reach the concealed bases part of the...

Yeah. I was dreading the Brabanzon passing their rally test, as then they would have stopped on the other side of the bridge to decide what to do next. Everything on the field had to take D3 toughness tests to survive a tabletop detonation. And I rolled 3 on the D3. Perette would almost...

Part 3, The Fighting Ends (Game Note: The annihilation mortar took 3 wounds from the crossbowmen in turn 2, and so was now reduced to a mere 2 wounds. This explains David’s attempt to move it to the river’s edge by another, safer route. The trouble is, whichever enemy unit arrives per turn from...

Part 2, The Fighting Begins Being the nimblest body upon the field, it was the enemy’s horsemen who first came up, unsurprisingly making directly for the engine, a motion which revealed that they must surely possess more than an inkling of the engine’s terrible potential. (Game note: I...
