Game System - Warhammer: The Old World

Great idea. Really solid, fluff-wise. I won't pick bretonnia, but i'd love to play again tomb kings 😍

    Unas' IG: Tallarn armored division

the troops was another matter. we all know the typical tallarn soldier how it looks like: alas, to use the green stuff to model a full kufiya doesn't work that well when you have only a sergeant with no helmet... and if you put the green stuff on the helmet, the head turned into something...

    Unas' IG: Tallarn armored division

fot the officers, it was kinda easy, it was merely a repaint with some nice detail, worthy of them. THE COMMISSAR THE COLONEL 😞

    Unas' IG: Tallarn armored division

After completing the Tank Battalion, i wanted to implement the army with some troops. the problem, of course, is that the original GW Tallarn models are rare and pricey. There are alternatives from 3rd party producers (some of them are pretty nice), but it also happened i've got a bunch of old...

    Unas' IG: Tallarn armored division

A similar thing was done for one of my Tank commander on a Leman Russ. I've picked an old Catachan commander... ùù Who was modeled then with green stuff to mimic a scarf (kufiya like) and shirt sleeves rolled up (ala afrika korps) painting!

    Unas' IG: Tallarn armored division

THe other 2 baneblades were equipped in a more traditional way. Same painting treatment. Here's a finished baneblade, with some chipping in the lower armor to give it an older look, and stains around the engine

    Unas' IG: Tallarn armored division

Let's start with the big guys, the centerpiece of my army: THE BANEBLAAAAAAADE(s) the tanks of course will be led by commanders, and those must be special ones. The Baneblade of the tank commander (tank ace officier) is of course "made to order". A Commander worth its name will rule from a...

    Unas' IG: Tallarn armored division

I've always wanted a guard regiment different from the usual, boring cadians. And leaving aside the iconic Krieg, i've always loved Tallarn, the desert fighters with their hit and run tactics, with a strong emphasis on armored divisions. Finally, with the new codex and some good purchases of...
