It's time once again to ferret out those murderous vampires in a new VAU - Vampires Amongst Us. A cross between Cluedo and a roleplay, sometimes gory and often hilarious! Find out more and sign-up! here.
bishop; if i remember correctly (my knowledge of the 40k rules is something like 2 books out of date) units that take advantage of "fleet..." cannot shoot that turn, because they are moving in their shooting phase instead? since afaik most walkers are pretty shooty (defilers, stabby wraithlords...
hmm. if your wanting it to be some kinda mini-titan, why not make it heavier than the SM dread? like say, 14 13 13 with 4 module mounts (though there may be a hard limit on the amount of ranged weapons that can be taken)? this gives great room for adaptability; one could have a special armour...
something we could do with a strigoi equivalent, would be that we could have the chiro experimenting on abhumans-ogryns or whatever sub-specie we cook up. this could be frowned upon by the chiro at large, who may have decreed that any augmented being must be "pure" human or "pure" cythor i.e. no...
i think the weapons rules so far are decent, and i cant particularly think of anything more to comment regarding them atm, apart from perhaps calling the cythor sonic doo-hicky something to the effect of "siren carbine" or the like; it fits the position as a sonic weapon and carbines are...
actually DoN thats the only rule i personally couldnt think of anything to argue over  im envisaging a mass produced weapon (i.e. troops sidearms, rather than higher quality stuff) of that type as being 12" assault 1 or 2 weapons, with relatively weak s and ap values, say, s3 ap5 as...
leadership check would be standard, and probably the most viable, but i think an initiative check would suite the concept better... i had thought that the young cythor/troops choice wouldnt have rending? anyway thinking on a little, how about power claws? it fits the imagery (i think so...
i like it as a rending weapon sanai. as to the helm, i think it could be a pretty awesome tool even without the s3 attack; just nullifying the enemy's attacks for the first round of combat is potentially an awesome weapon for an elite unit.
you kinda answered your own question there sanai  though since i still havent thought of a decent name its gonna stick till some one gives me a hand
hmm, since this is a physiology thread, how bout these gauntlets become a piece of bio-tech genetically engineered into all cythor above a certain age, or even better (from a psychopathic wh40k stance) the result of a eugenics program? the cythor could have had such an ability bred into them, so...
i like that. i agree with you there, im seeing a vehicle equipped with as being around 250+ points basically...but points values can wait till weve got stuff hashed out properly.
im not sure if the zeus cannon should be a blast gun...i think with those stats it would be used for sniping specific characters and single units, and that it having blast in addition might make it too powerful with unlimited range. on the other hand i could see it equipped to a tank as an...
hmm...change the "pack instincts" rule to an obligatory move towards the nearest table edge, instead of fleeing the field? it is less likely to wipe out the whole force in one go, but could still cause a lot of (very amusing) havoc that way i think...it might still be a bit heavy handed though
RE: VC 40K – Zombie Unit Discussion continuing with the greaco-roman theme for naming, how about "automatoi"? it is literally greek for "the automated ones" if memory serves....or am i wandering off on a pointless tangent with that? xD
hmm, i like this. the zues variant could as such, using a more refined crystal, perhaps have a higher AP value then? if a standard mass produced gun has this quality itd make sense the better version will have greater capability. so the zues variant could, for example, be a rapid fire ap3...
RE: VC 40K – Zombie Unit Discussion your right on the name, and as to the chiro boosting stats, i think we suggested something to that effect in the chiro thread? and to weapon choices, its all provisional ofcourse, things'll change at every stage, i was simply going off what i was thinking...
hope you dont mind me starting this DoN... anyhoo, this is my concept for the zombies to see what people think of it. chiro zombietype: -ws2 bs2 s3 t3 w1 i2 a1 ld6 special rules: fearless, combat algorithm can be equipped with close combat weapons and light arm cannons or with arm...
hmm. i think the "b" type zues cannon should be a seperate upgrade in its own right, and perhaps be assault 2. since its an assault weapon, and is all about getting cranking up decibels up close and personal, how bout we name it the "bacchus" assault variant? if we actually go with ancient...
