It has begun....sort of......in around 10 days time.........or there abouts.

While we all count down to the 18th when we can start throwing paint at plastic, I am going to paint 21 Slayers as a sort of warmup.

Tomorrow however, I will assemble the Grudgethrower and Flame Cannon I brought last week and get some "before" photos up.

Until then, a refresher on what I have pledged and still needs painting (struck though items have been completed, obviously):

As I have just finished painting a full unit of Longbeards and just finishing up another 21 Slayers I have decided to start with some warmachines, just to break up the monotony (plus, they're quick to paint).

Never been a fan of stunties, but I do like the look of those cannons/crew (I have sort of a gunfetish)

We have progress. 2 Cannons and a Grudge Thrower are now ready to blow shit up.

ahhhh beloved stunties short and stout. They are looking great I love the idea of basing the crew on the same base as the cannon/grudgethrower. Your slayers look good too, keep up the great work.

Thats an imposing horde of slayers you got there, Sir. The war machines look very good as well.
I'm hoping we see everything lined up as a whole army, eventually - and especially the general.

Small, space filling update: Decided 2 large pillered, unit fillers was a little boring, so only did 1. I will find something else for my other unit filler.

However, here is a pic of the 2 unit fillers I have finished:



2 more fillers and the 20-man unit of Dwarf Warriors should be finished in the next day or so. Just need to get the bling and bases done.

While I am finishing those, I will undercoat the next batch of models: 12 miners w/command and my BSB on Oathstone.

Whoops, forgot to post my latest update.....

My warrior block is done, 20 Warriors with F/comm and Great Weapons.



Unfortunately, the lighting is not the best, so they lose a little something.

I have also finished 2 more unit fillers (apologies for the bad pic)

Aye those a really a beautiful site, it really makes me want to start back with the Dwarfs. Overall though they are looking very good, nice bright colours and clean lines. Great work.

Wow, only 2 weeks to go until Fields of Blood 2010 and my tie-breaking, Round 1 grudge match vs our very own Fodderboy. It's down to the final stretch, the army list has been submitted and the final batch of models is on the table.
