"Yes-yes, a most salacious idea-thought it is," he softly chittered, eyes that clearly showed the creatures madness watching the events unfold.

From a glance it was a wonder that it managed to cling to the ceiling the way it did, withered almost to the point of emancipation, sores and curious growths all over its body. From its mouth a few score teeth remained, although its canines seemed as sharp as ever.

Those eyes had watched the failed skaven attack, as he had been watching the clan for some time. Though insane somethings had still tickled into his brain, and the word Drakenhof had certainly rang a bell. Memories from long ago had flickered fitfully into the diseased mind and a hope that sprouted forth.

Now that hope had bore rotten fruit, a plan that would finally reunite him with the object of his desire after so very long. He had already chosen the one, now all that remained was to somehow made contact. He could see the meeting was drawing to a close and he licked the dribbling snot from his snout with anticipation.

Soon....

OOC: This is one visitor who has not been detected, so please don't post saying you have sensed him etc.

RE: Chapter 2.6 - Eyes in the Darkness

How? That was the question.

“Think quick-quick,” he said to himself, now outside on a lone piece of battlement. His dark fur and tattered clothes blended perfectly with the shadows, rendering him as good as invisible, “dead-man-thing leave soon-quick. Leave by sorcery-spell. Must go……must speak to dead-man-thing…….” With a shake of his head the Skaven tried to settle his thoughts. It had been so long since he could think straight, well as straight as was possible for one of his kind. Ever since they had stolen it….all those years he had tried to get it back.

“Yes-yes,” he suddenly squeaked, finally a germ of long-lost knowledge sparking in his mind. He knew of such spells himself, more than that, he knew them better than those below. With the return of the knowledge came an idea. Difficult and dangerous he wavered for a moment, natural instinct holding him back. A moment later it was gone as the object of his desire popped back into his thoughts. He would give anything…do anything….kill anything to have it again.

“Quick-quick,” he breathed as he scuttled away, “must make ready-prepare.” Back into the darkness of Drakenhoff the Skaven slinked, mind focus on the next stage of his plan.
