I have begun a series of how to paint guides much like the showcase of showing off your masterpieces this is to show off how you paint your undead. Do not be bashful feel free to share so we can catalog a good variety and mix of wonderful undead tutorials. Please leave the holy water and stakes at home.

Found one banner in my plog to share

Before shot of the banner of the barrows all it is is wasp nest wrap around a banner pole. Please be careful when procuring wasp nests.

Here is my tutorial on how to create your own screaming banner. I have posted this before but having them all in one post will be better.

1. The basecoat on the banner should be black.
2. Stiple the banner with scorched brown. It should be a fairly heavy stipling. Let it dry.
3. Stiple the banner with graveyard earth. This will be a lighter stipling than the previous coat. Let this dry.
4. Stiple the banner with dhenb stone. This will be about the same as the previous step. Let it dry.
5. Create a 50/50 mix of chaos black and scorched brown. Stiple the eyes, a small nose hole, and the mouth. Let it dry.
6. Wash the entire banner down with gryphonne sepia.

A lot of this is trial and error...but I've found the angle of the mouth and eyes makes a huge difference in how terrifying the banner is. The best banner to do this on it the banner in the new plastic graveguard kit. The folds in the banner make a perfect template for the eyes.

This is the original banner:

Stippling is a technique like drybrushing, except instead of wiping the brush across the surface, you repeatedly tap it against the surface you're painting. It's pretty easy to get the hang of.
