Announcement I need your help - what isn't working and what does CN need?

As part of my usual resurrection I'll be looking to ensure the old place is working properly, flush out the gremlins etc...

It would help me greatly if anyone can post issues or suggestions either in this section or directly replying to this post, and then I can work on a list. First on the list appears to be that emojis don't seem to work....

Indeed - I (very poorly) didn't even know the forum had gone offline! I have lots to do to update and hopefully we can bring some (un)life back to the place...

Would be good if more forum-wide-announcement banners were available - like the one we have for VAU, but for instance for the TTWD painting competitions etc as well.
But all of them should have a per-user option to hide the desired banner so it doesn't get too cluttered once you've read it and have been informed.

EDIT: Also, the funcion to tag a user with @ doesn't seem to be working.

Raven Torrid - we do have the ability to add more banners, just let me know what they are and I'll add them in - I'm not sure if there's a way for mods to add them unfortunately. I've just add a new one for the new VAU.

The @ seems to be a bit hit and miss. There will be a forum update in the next week or so, which I think will fix a lot of the smaller bugs and then I can dig into what's still a problem

The main thing that needs to be addressed for me is dealing with spam accounts. I spent so much time cleaning off their spam, but I couldn't ban anyone (neither could anyone else) and manually cleaning up profiles using the anti-spam software would only work on recent accounts and was time consuming. There are a lot of old spam accounts that will require deletion. In addition, it would be really helpful if the anti-spam measures could be enhanced to stop them from registering in the first place.

Raven Torrid - Issue with the @ reference not being consistent has been resolved. It had a limit on the number of days since the person last interacted, I have now overridden, this especially considering how long it has been with the downtime

Seneschal - there was an issue with our attachment function which has now been resolved if you can please try again?

Ah ok, so it's that specific format (HEIC) which is a bit of an issue in general after doing some initial digging. I'll need to come back to you on that
