AoS - 3rd I won best painted army at the Grand Tournament MidtCon!

So last weekend I went to a Grand Tournament with 30 players and I took home a medal for best painted army - I am very proud and just wanted to share the news with you wonderful people. Below are some pictures from the tourney. I went 3-2 in the games and I'm very satisfied with that, considering how long I have been off the tournament circuit and that my two losses was against two of the best players in my country. A great event and I'm happy to bring home a medal. :)

Yes it is. I don't think I will do battle reports, but I might turn my learnings into an article.

Wow thanks for the kind words! I will definitely post pictures. I just have to paint a bit of details and then take the photos.

Well, what could i say?
The medal was indeed well deserved. Since we saw your beautiful model in our painting competition, it was clear that a wolly painted army with that level of details, was going to rock.
the spattered blood on the ghost makes for a very impressive army, with bonus points for abandoning the beautiful but too usual nighthaunts color scheme.

Unas the slayer thank you for your all too kind words! The whole army is not painted with as many details as my Dreadblade Harrow yet, but the plan is to get them to that level. At the moment I have done only very little work on the bases because of time constraints. I thought the blood would go well thematically now that I play Scarlet Doom :)

I got thrown into WHFB about 10 years ago because my friend bought me a Throne of Skulls tournament ticket at WHW saying "you're coming with us!" when I hadn't even seen a model let alone played a game. I had a month to buy, build and paint 2000 points to take with me. To say it was a rush job is an understatement lol. Never looked back since though.

Lost all 5 of the games but had a fantastic time! Went many more times following that once I had more time to practice and refine my list
