Was looking at a ridiculous list for TOW with 3 mortis engines buff stacking. Basically something like this:

Lvl 4 on Mortis w 5+ ward
Lvl 2 on Mortis w De Noirot
Lvl 1 on Mortis w Ruby ring

18 ghouls
18 ghouls
18 ghouls

5 Blood knights
5 Blood knights

The goal is to make a very fast army, giving the ghouls (as the fastest core infantry in the book) M8 skirmish + reserve, and I6.
It also gives the Necros an additional +3 to their casts, putting the level 4 at +7! Furthermore, it downplays the cost of the roll twice penalty on miscast, since you can't roll twice three times.
I chose blood knights as something that can operate fairly independently and march, or still benefit from the Conclave (as opposed to fliers). Imagine starting them in the bubble in marching column and then blasting off 30" into the enemy deployment zone!

The downside is the draw to bubble everything up, as in editions of yore... but I'm really quite interested to see how it plays.
Its also ~600pts in screaming chariots, (which at least have first charge,) and otherwise doesn't have a great answer to a large dragon.

Thoughts?
Am I crazy?

I thought about a 3 terrorgheists army a while back but it didn't work my a small margin. 😅

I'm not too deep in TOW but currently I have the impression that it's another version of Dragonhammer. Not being able to counter the opponent's dragon(s) is an issue. I think your setup can handle them, though. Even with flying and big target, they still need space to be placed to be able to attack, right? So as long as your ghouls are screening, your MEs should be protected from a direct dragon charge. Spawning zombies between your MEs and the dragon(s) should also help further blocking them. Wolves would help with that as well - and they are fast!

Blood Knights have Countercharge, so they can run against a charging dragon and put their lances into it. Probably not enough to kill it but it will do some severe damage. The second unit might then be enough, depending on the equipment of the enemy dragon rider.

I don't think it's the strongest setup but I would expect a fun game with enough options to still win from time to time. And mortis engines are awesome models. 👍

It looks like something fun to try on TTS. I'd be worried about buying, building, and painting a physical version of this army just because I can't imagine buff auras are going to be allowed to stack with themselves for very long. Like, right now you can absolutely double (or triple) up on mortis engines for +2 or even +3 to casting and movement, but I feel like any given week we'll see an FAQ or a matched play update with a blanket change that reverses that.
