I don't think I ever did actually created a showcase previously. I don't claim to be the best painter in the world but here's some of my stuff regardless.

One piece I'm particularly proud of is my Blood Knight conversions. I'm glad there are new Blood Knight plastic minis but I'm just going to keep using mine. Nice to still have Bretonnians fielded and to be able to use an old Lahmian and Red Duke models as the champions.

Wow, that's a huge and varied collection of models, fangs very much for sharing! 😁

If I could make a suggestion to help create depth in the crevasses etc, is just using an ink/wash at mid-point during the painting process before you add on the layers out elements or highlighted elements. It really easy to do, takes a moment but adds a huge amount of contrast. You could even go a step further and add a little dry brush at the end for further highlight 👍

Please keep posting pics as you do more! Are you joining @Belladonna Voltaire's Tale of Painters?

You're absolutely right that I do almost no shading, highlighting or dry brushing, just layers. Thats is also why I never did a showcase before 😅
I did buy some Nuln oil and Agrax Earthshade just recently mostly to put on skin to pick out the eyes and mouth. But, that's about it. I'd never thought to put it on prior to adding layers though. 🤔

I'm not sure what tale of painters is but I'll have a look.

I really love the dynamic scenes you have going, especially the Corsair Raiders coming off the river. And that's a solid tip, you've got a lot of great colors here, but a few more steps and they'll have even more depth and character! Can't wait to see more

Yeah it's really easy. Just put your primer and base later on, then add in some of that oil! It will pool in the crevasses, and then continue to paint as you have (keeping away from those dark bits) and you'll have some lovely depth, nice and easy peasy 😁

Specters of Warhammer past and Warhammer present. No specters of Warhammer future though.

I never use Hexwraiths in my Nighthaunt army because I never thought they fit the aesthetic very well so I never even rebased them. But, they were always amazing in 8e with their Ethereal and flyby damage rule. I see that has returned so I have painted them up. I've always struggled to figure out how to pick out the champion of a Hexwraith unit since the models look very similar. I decided on changing the haft of the weapon to black and giving the blade a slightly different look. I think that will work.

While I was at it painted a mounted Knight of Shrouds I had sitting around just in case I do get in the mood for some AoS calvary.

My first unit of Fell bats. Part of the box that Sekhar comes in. In 8e I owned one of every Vampire Count model except Fell Bats. So this is a long time coming.

I used to think the bone giant was a goofy model. But he's grown on me. I picked him up right when 8e was ending and I never got the chance to field him. Looking forward to putting him on the table for the first time as the Necrolith Colossus.

Since there's so little on offer for mounted characters, I got a few 3D prints for my Tomb King and Vampire Counts armies. Looking forward to having them painted up.

Really like the opulent gold for the Tomb Kings, it works well for that old Egyptian feel. Have you added anymore to your army, especially with all the additional models / re-release for TK?
