I do wish legion of blood had better representation of Neferata's spy network in their rules. Maybe a faction trait or command ability to force an enemy unit into reserve instead of normal deployment representing disinformation or sabotage slowing them down, that sort of thing.

To be honest, this has inspired me a bit about looking at a wonderfully uniform army. Don't you think Neffie would also really like the quality of the Bonereapers though?
She might appreciate their regimented phalanxes, but I think she'd find everything they represent - the obsolescence of the Soulblight Dynasties in Nagash's designs, the slow extinction of all life - too repugnant to give any credit to their finer qualities.

I've changed my vote to Vyrkos. I had intended to start with Legion of Night, but having painted the entire Cursed City box last month, I'm now left with a bunch of Vyrkos specific units, so I figure I might as well start there, though I'm still proceeding with a sort of 'one of everything' hodge podge that will work just as well in LoNight.

And, honestly, Vyrkos, with their classic draculesque Eastern European themes, affinity for the wolves/bats/creatures of the night, and subfaction abilities that make their vampires stronger leaders for the lesser undead around them, are a much closer analogue to the classic Von Carstein faction that I used to play in Warhammer Fantasy than the current Legion of Night is, despite the latter bearing the Von Carstein name.

I'm really hoping to get my hands on the Crimson Court. Those really read Legion of Blood/Night. In love the new Vyrkos vampires but it's a bit of a shame they start with the Vyrkos keyword so it's less realistic to use them when you prefer LoB/LoN.

True 🤣 you just can't get that nice polished look with a Zombie - "Look, I've just put your makeup and nice clothes on and you're dropping fingers and eyeballs all over the place!"

I feel like the Neferata's lot would have the closest to the Old World regiments, especially with how nostalgic Neferata seems to be.

To be honest, this has inspired me a bit about looking at a wonderfully uniform army. Don't you think Neffie would also really like the quality of the Bonereapers though?
Polished bone, I like it!

Regarding reapers then I suppose it is a matter of preference, but if I brought them in a neffie army, I would defintely trim down all their detail and spikes and what not.
