Hi guys!

Sorry if this is obvious but wanted to clarify a rule ahead of a game I have coming up.

The Strength of the Pack is the WolfAdd 1 to wound rolls for attacks made with melee weapons by friendly VYRKOS DYNASTY DEATHRATTLE and VYRKOS DYNASTY DEADWALKERS units while they are wholly within 9" of any friendly VYRKOS DYNASTY VAMPIRE HEROES.

Given my Zombie unit for example doesn’t include the VYRKOS keyword on its profile, are they counted for this rule? Assuming so if I’ve selected the VRYKOS dynasty for the army in the first place, right?

Same concept for the ‘Strength of the wolf is the pack’ - does the Vamp have to be Beladamma and have the VRYKOS keyword of can Cado reroll spells for example.

TIA

don't worry.
when you write a list you decide which dynasty it will belong to.
Every "generic" unit in the list is considered to be part of that dynasty, so (in your case), your zombies will be considered as Vyrkos dynasty deadwalkers.

The only exception is when you have a unit (only certain characters) that are part of a certain dynasty. Belladamma is vyrkos dynasty and you can't change that.
A generic VL can be Vyrkos or Kastelai, it depends on the dynasty you're using to build your army
You can insert Belladamma in a Kastelai list, but in that case Belladamma won't gain any of the abilities of said dynasty.

Ok gotcha, thanks!

Also Cado is an exception.

He can never get a subfaction keywword. So no Cado don't buff the zombies in your exemple nor does he gain the spell reroll. But a generic VL will
Ah yes this is ringing bells actually. In that case I’d need to consider taking a normal VL if I want casting rerolls etc

Thanks!
