Screaming Banner and Cold Blooded

Screaming banner makes you roll three dice for a LD test and discard the lowest. Cold Blooded makes you roll three and discard the highest.

How would you guys resolve that?

On the day we figured he should roll four dice then discard the lowest and the highest... or would they just cancel each other out and you roll two as normal?

They just cancel each other and the lizardmen roll two dice.

Casket of Souls, however, says to roll three dice without discarding. So Lizardmen roll four dice for that and discard just the highest.

Both have rules that say you add one extra die to the Ld-test roll and discard the highest/lowest result. So the correct way would be to roll 4 dice and remove the top and bottom. This gives a different distribution that just rolling two dice gives, much more centred around the average roll of 7. Meaning tests with less than Ld 7 have a smaller chance of success than when just rolling two dice and test with Ld 7 or above have a bigger chance of success.

I thought it was in the rule book or faq somewhere that if one rule says to discard the lowest and another to discard the highest, then they cancel each other. I will look for it .
