Screaming into combat?

It's quite clear that if a Banshee/Mortis Engine/TG is in combat it can only scream at the unit it is in combat with.

One of the lessons I learned on Wednesday was to get your Banshee out of the unit before the unit gets charged (if the unit has a champ/character with magic weapons).

But can the banshee/ME/TG scream INTO a combat? It's a special attack, not a magic missile, or shooting attack although wounds are distributed as from shooting...

All of them can scream into combat since its a special attack.

TG has no limitations with regards to itself or the target bring in combat. It can scream at what it wants.

The Banshee cannot scream into combat its not apart of since she has a special rule stating she can only target a unit in base contact if she is in combat.
