This here be my paint log!
Instead of re-shooting all my minis, I decided to share pics I already made
The dynasty has a very barebones (heh) background/lore, something about the city of Raskhetar being ruled over by Pharaoh Amerses, with exarch Djet-Khatra as head advisor and high priest. The city's foundation is built onto the bones of gigantic beasts, that are reanimated and obey the will of Amerses, roaming the dunes - think island on giant turtle from mythology, but in the desert.
I either design and print fully, or kitbash or somehow customize most of my models.
Paint recipes
The idea behind the painting process was to keep it simple. Therefore all the painting is done with layering using a size 2 brush - only exceptions are: primer and varnish are airbrushed, sand is drybrushed, and washes are used very rarely
Unless otherwise noted, all paints used are Vallejo Model Color
Sometimes it is far easier to achieve smooth blends by mixing the two colors you want to transition between, and using the mixed color as another step in the gradient, rather than doing a million glazes. When I do this, I will indicate it with a + between the paint names
