Huzzah, I've got the first fimir warrior up on his feet! I had to use at least one Heroquest fimir. He's almost ready for priming, just some more filing once the green stuff is cured. He's going to be a fimm warrior unit champion. Now, if only I could make my mind up as to a skin tone...

They are a very interesting race indeed. GW allude to them in the new edition, so they are still part of the game universe. @Santawraith, a whole box eh? Nice. Hopefully I'll be updating this plog pretty regularly. My new years decision to start fimir AND chaos dwarves may bite me in the ass yet, and of course, takes time away from the vampires...

you've done 70% of the sculpting on this model? the only difference i see is a weapon swap, plastic marauder cloak added and a new base?

Behold! My first one-eyed fimir shambles out of the mists. He was a bit of a trial as far as picking a skin-tone was concerned, but as fimir are half human I went with a more fleshy tone. I'm pretty happy with him, especially as it means my fimir army is actually off the blocks, even if it is only the first one.

Now I can back to my now quite dusty half-painted corpse cart.

well he looks excellent, especially love his cape.. but.. what is that thing!? :scared: from counts kill a lot's post i would guess that the fimir is a long gone race in the warhammer fantasy universe?

your building an army of them!? does the army consists of various troops, elites and heroes like the current GW armies? so .. i guess that would mean countless hours lurking on ebay, and i would imagine they are very hard to find, and expensive to boot.. but if you somehow succeed, i guess the bragging right is well worth the effort aye.. well best of luck to you sir.. looking forward to seeing more..

Yep, there's enough out there a build a full list. I'll be using a fair amount of humans as well, as the army is set in Albion they will be Celtic types. They will provide large units of infantry, chariots and cavalry. I have a most of the fimir I need for heroes, lords, specials and core. I need a few more fimir nobles, fen beasts and infantry, but I'm getting there. Next up will be a unit of fianna fimm (ogres) once I crawl out from under the mound of work I have on!
