Did anyone else read this novel from the Black Library? Its about Lady Olynder.
Unmarked spoilers below!

I found it most bizarre in that it stars a group of adventurers going up against her. She herself only appears twice, well technically more than that as she poses as a character who joins about 2/3 of the way through the story. But you never get any interior monologue from her or actually get any real backstory about her.
What you do get is character development for the band of adventures who all die by the end. You get a lot of lore about the two cities and they are implied to be wiped out by Olynder just after the story ends.
I was really looking forward to learning more about her and really disappointed that I did not.
Compared to pretty much any story starring Neferata and you get a ton of fascinating internal details and lore that's actually about her. I'm listening to an audio version of Neferata Dominon of Bone and also finished Cursed City recently and really liked them. Cursed city also follows a band of adventurers but some of them survive so it's not as big a waste of time that they are developed.
