In an attempt to get myself reinvested in my army, I've purchased the audio book for The Vulture Lord to listen to on my upcoming vacation. I'll post here as I get through the material and let you all know if I enjoyed it.

It's by the same author as End of Enlightenment, which I didn't care for much and while I wasn't able to get too deep into Vulture Lord on the trip I will say that the initial approach is better and everything revolves around the OBR and their relationship with mortals instead of being used as the "bad guy" or a creepy narrative obstacle. And the entire story is basically the result of a devil's bargain with Nagash.

Spent some more time with the audio book, and there's a great little chapter where the "Vulture Lord" travels as a mortal to treat with Nagash, goes down into the underworld and then encounters him as a great, skeletal vulture. Definitely having a better time with this over "The End of Enlightenment."
