So what's everyone got for the oddities that just weren't well thought out in the book? For me, it's the Vyrkos heroic action that creates d3 Vyrkos deadwalker models, with the designer note that this can take units above their maximum model count. Um, corpse carts have the deadwalker keyword........

ueah, that'll get limited to summonable deadwalkers for sure.

I also like how Torgillius gives Vyrkos summonable units a 5+ ward when the only good Vyrkos relic gives those same units a 5+ deathless minions ward, which is actually better if your unit has a standard bearer.

Yeah the Corpsecart should not be able to get extra models, and I also don’t think they meant Korsagi Nightguard to be able to benefit from Pack Alpha.

Your point about the standard bearer is a really good one!

It's also why Nagash is looking less and less, well, good. His 5+ ward save just doesn't do much for summonable units in Vyrkos. And you really can't take many characters, the ones who would benefit, if you're also running him.

So like, iirc they already stated somewhere that SINGLE units can't have multiple models in a unit, as they're only ever one model in said unit

both are limited range "wholly within" auras. putting two of them on the field isn't a bad idea at all.

Unique characters can still access the universal spells, correct? If they can, I'm starting to really like Cado as a vamp lord character. Being able to bump his weapon to 3 damage would make him a mortal wound monster the turn he activates spirit of the fallen.

Legion of Blood gets him to 6 attacks.......Flaming weapon would get him to 3 damage.........Spirit of the fallen would make all wounds mortal wounds. That's a potential 18 mortal wounds out of a 135 point character IF he can use flaming weapon.

Unfortunately, unique heroes cannot access universal spells. Cado's still kind of cool, but not as cool as he would have been with flaming sword.

Also cado can't get the +1 cast/attack from legion of blood because he specifically does not benefit from subfaction abilities - see the italic text at the start of his warscroll.

I've seen both things mentioned often enough that it would be worth calling them out in an faq, but yeah, the answer is no on both accounts.

Ugh........I need to remember to read the italics too. At least now I see why he's only five points more than a regular vampire lord.......

I really think it is a shame that Cado cannot benefit from subfactions. He does benefit from the Corpsecart buff though.
