Superpowers had existed for centuries, but it wasn’t until the alien Gypium contacted us that the numbers really started to rise. Suddenly, there was a superhero in every city, every town, every street and many of them had intentions that were far from good. With supervillains springing up in ever-greater numbers, a few companies decided to enact a novel solution to the problem of superpowered crime…

Congratulations! You have passed the interview process and been accepted as one of the superheroes in Triarii©, a new organisation which promises to clear up crime in the southern section of New Alburg fast! This is a unique opportunity both to do good and to raise your own profile, as your work as a team will be broadcast live on TriariiTV©, where you will also have the chance to do exclusive interviews and meet other superheroes from across the world. As you know, the clearing of crime from the northern section of New Alburg has been entrusted to the Russian organisation Alpha Centre, and we’re hoping that you can prove America’s superiority by clearing crime twice as fast as they can. Just remember, we’re going to the Triarii©!

Personal Info

Superhero name: Make it something catchy! Please do not have anything offensive to any group of people, a full guideline to sensitivity can be found in section 3b)iii-xviii.

Real Name: This is just for contract purposes and will not be released to the public. Please make it the name you normally sign on legal documents.

Age: The public want to know these things!

Place of birth: A little hometown support goes a long way!

Physical description: How you look in your costume, and what you carry with you. Just give our advertisers something to work with! Please remember to only include products from sponsoring companies, a full list can be found in appendix ii.

Biography: This is just a short bio to help the fans get to know you! Talk about what drives you, your likes and dislikes, what you did before you joined the Triarii© or anything else you want!

Physical Stats

As you know, various superhero trading card games are being made and they need some basic stats about you. These are either graded by known metrics (e.g. mph) or numbered from 1-10, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest currently believed possible (if you think you’re higher than that, we’ll be wanting some serious proof!) Please be as honest as possible. If a power temporarily augments a stat, just write your normal stat and then the augmented stat in (brackets). Also do this if machines you’ve built affect this (such as power armour). Use the maximum augmentation if your power crosses a range.

Speed: How fast you cross ground. This is simply your ability to move in a straight line, and should include speed from teleporting. Just state your maximum speed in mph!

Agility: How well you can move around, dodge blows and attack. Things such as teleportation, time-slowing powers and similar will affect this. Numbered from 1-10, where 3 is the human average, 5 is typical for a skilled athlete, 8 is impossible without powers and at 10 you will be so fast that unpowered individuals cannot hit you except by accident.

Weapon Skill: How good you are in close combat. Numbered from 1-10, with 2 being typical of a slightly trained human, 4 for a good martial artist, 7 for a super whose powers primarily focus on close combat and 10 for someone nearly unbeatable at close quarters (note: all known supers with this number only had it in very short bursts)

Ballistic Skill: How good you are with ranged weapons, including any ranged powers. Numbered from 1-10, with 1 being completely untrained, 3 being typical for a trained soldier, 4 or 5 for a sniper, 6 for the human maximum, 8 for someone able to use powers to calculate wind resistance, range and so on on the fly and 10 for someone able to make physically impossible shots (e.g. through bunker walls, around corners etc.)

Strength: How hard you hit, whether it’s by muscle mass, zero-range telekinesis or piston gauntlets. Numbered from 1-10, with 2 being the human average, 4 the human maximum, 6 being common for physical superheroes, 8 for those able to throw cars around like toys and 10 for those who have not yet encountered a task of strength too difficult for them.

Toughness: How hard you can be hit before you go down. 2 is typical for unarmoured humans, 4 will let you ignore pistol rounds, 6 will barely notice .50 cal, 8 shrugs off RPGs and 10s require strategic weapons to take down.

Powers.

The real fun bit! Try to divide up your powers as much as possible; we know they’re all interlinked, but it looks a lot better if you can say you have three powers rather than one! For instance, if you can manipulate energy and use this both for pyrokinesis and flying, make them separate powers (though note in their description that they’re from the same thing!). Write them with

Title in bold

Description in italics.

As much as possible, include known limits on the power, such as range, speed of effect or similar.

Other skills

What else you can do apart from your powers. Are you a master at parkour? Did you train as a nuclear physicist? Can you sing? Anything that’ll set you apart from the crowd goes here!

Additional Notes

Anything else you want to tell us!

OOC: World Info

The world is essentially Earth, with the main differences being minor historical changes. For instance, Denmark was enough of a power that there are several American cities founded by Danish settlers. This is primarily to avoid problems with character history. It's totally not that I'm just lazy.

Powers come from a variety of sources (essentially, go for whatever you like as long as it's vaguely reasonable), but the oldest one is being granted them by gods. Therefore, if you fancy playing a character who's really a thousand years old, a divine source might be best. If you want to play a Badass Normal, it'd be advisable to go for technology-creation powers or possibly some sort of strategic planning one so you can keep up with superpowered individuals without having obvious powers.

The Gypium are an alien race who decided to observe Earth, and in order to do so they created artificial humans designed to blend into any racial group without anyone noticing. Unfortunately, the Gypium hadn't really paid attention to how humans told each other apart, so when several thousand dark-skinned blondes with vaguely Asian facial features, the ability to speak every known language very badly, technology-manipulation superpowers and no recollection of where they came from appeared across the world, the human race collectively called shenanigans. After a very embarrassed explanation, the research team returned to orbit and asked that everyone just pretend they don't exist so they can get some decent data. Yes, you can play one of the infiltrators.

The Team So Far

BLADEMASTER

Player:
Get of W'soran

Real Name: Ryley Hunter

Age: 55

Place of birth: USA Military Base in Denmark

Physical description: Ryley stands at a 6"4 and has a muscular physique belonging to a man in his prime at least 15 years younger. He has short dark hair that has started to go grey, a colour which is much more predominant in his goatee. Perhaps his most noticeable feature is the eye patch covering his missing right eye leaving only his dark left eye.
In his civilian garb Ryley tends to wear dark suits with a black eye patch whilst on a job he wears a suit of black and red armour made from a rare and exceptionally durable alloy matched with a helmet mask which has only a single eye hole.

Biography: Born in Denmark on an USA Military Base to two American Soldiers. His father, an avid martial artists, trained him in Kenjutsu, Iaijutsu, Jujitsu and marksmanship from a young age. When he was 16 his father signed him up for the military. He was eventually promoted to Major, it was around this time that he suffered a serious injury loosing mobility in one arm, not only did this put an end to his career as a soldier but his life-long love of swordsmanship was made impossible to continue. However Ryley was approached by a division within the army who promised to heal him if he was willing. The Major then underwent two long years of experiments until finally being injected with a “Super Soldier Serum” which pushed his physical capabilities beyond what was possible by human standards, it also increased his intelligence greatly. Ryley found that this research division had no intention of releasing him and so he fled becoming a gun for hire.
This was fifteen years ago.
Ryley then became the infamous villain known as The Executioner who was hired for immoral jobs from assault to assassination, it is rumoured that during one of these assassination attempts on an unnamed high-ranking TRIARRI Executive that he was stopped by a team of Corporation Superheroes. The Company then appealed to The Executioner's sense of greed and offered him a much more lucrative role, it is unknown how they got him abandon his old mission when previously he had never given up on a contract.
He rid himself of his old name and became Blademaster or “The One-Eyed Merc” and was soon seen as an Anti-Hero by the public who now fought on the side of good, even if not enthusiastically.
It is known that Blademaster likes swordsmanship and being paid but little else as he's quite a private and mysterious figure however it is known he dislikes the usual heroic attitude of his peers.
Although his career as “one of the good guys” is still quite young the mercenary has caught the hearts of many a brooding teenager who wanted a darker kind of hero.

Physical Stats

Speed: 25 mph

Agility: 6

Weapon Skill: 7

Ballistic Skill: 3

Strength: 5

Toughness: 5 (6 - Armour)

Powers.

Ryley was not born with powers although he was a skilled warrior in both archaic and modern forms of combat. It was not until after he was injected with the serum that he gained meta abilities.

Super-Serum Physiology

The serum changed Ryley's physiology permanently. Whilst initially it made him a complete cripple after a short extended period of experimenting it awakened completely within him making him almost a superhuman.

The following was enhanced by the Serum
- Enhanced Strength
- Enhanced Speed
- Enhanced Reflexes
- Enhanced Stamina
- Enhanced Senses (E.g. Vision, Smell and Hearing)
- Healing Factor (Ryley's body heals at a much quicker rate than a normal human making him far more durable and capable of taking more damage. He also has a much stronger immune system than normal humans meaning he is naturally immune to many types of poisons and illnesses. Lastly whilst he still seems to age he is doing it at a much slower rate than normal and appears younger than he is).

Other skills

Swordsmanship – Over the decades he has received training in many different Kenjutsu and Iaijutsu Ryu as well as studying sword styles from other cultures. When paired with his almost-superhuman capabilities he is exceptionally deadly.

Hand-To-Hand - Blademaster has advanced hand-to-hand skills being trained by his father, instructors as a soldier and then later by other assassins he met over the years.
- Jujitsu
- Boxing
- Ninjitsu

Marksman - Although not his preferred method of combat Blademaster is fully competent and trained in guns from pistols to sniper rifles.

Tactician - Ryley was always a great strategist and student of tactics, due to the fact that his powers are below that of full superhumans who he has fought in the past he earned a reputation for planning and laying traps to help him overcome naturally superior adversaries.

Stealth - As per his Ninjitsu training as well as the skills taught to him by various assassins and shadowy organisations in his past.

Multilingualism - Ryley knows numerous languages aside from his native English. At the very least he has demonstrated fluency in Japanese and Russian.

Additional Notes

Blademaster is perhaps best known for his weapons and armour he carries.

Blademaster's Armour

Blademaster's armour is forged from some unknown metal and the helmet has a distinctive lack of an eyehole on the right hand side. It is exceptionally resistant to conventional injury. It is painted black with red highlights, the not blind-side of the helmet is also painted red.

The armour appears to be the same as that which he wore as the executioner however that armour was made from kevlar and normal metal where as this one is made by the Corporation from Kevlar and some strange alloy that Blademaster himself doesn't recognise.

Blademaster's Katana

Blademaster's Katana is another replica of his which is forged by TRIARII to look like his original weapon. This sword is made of the same strange alloy as his armour. He tends to wear this either on his back or his waist depending on the situation.

The sword is well designed and weighted sword, it has an unbelievable sharpness and durability.

Blademaster will sometimes carry a second katana although it is made of normal steel.

Assorted guns and explosives

Blademaster always carries guns of some kinds as well as grenades or bombs. He will sometimes carry extremely unusual and rare weaponry that he has made for a particular purpose.

Most often Blademaster carries a pistol or two but he will sometimes take with him a rifle and a handful of conventional grenades.

CRIMSON EYE

Player: Count Vashra

Real Name: Max Washington

Age:36

Place of Birth: Washington D.C.

Physical Description: Max has crimson eyes, hence his superhero identity, and black hair. He wears red clothes, except for a golden mask to highlight his red eyes which glow when he uses his power, and is 5"4. He also has a red sniper rifle (without a sight) strapped to his back.
As a normal person, Max wears the clothes of an FBI interrogator, including the badge. His eyes are changed to blue by contacts.

Biography: Max Washington (who claims to be descended from a certain President, though no one believes him) lives in Washington D.C. He always wanted to be a policeman after watching every police show he could. He was at first overeager and conducted vigilante work, attempting to seize car keys of dangerous drivers and stop crimes, etc. he was jailed for theft at 18, as a result of this work, and was released 4 years later, when he learned his lesson and became a policeman the normal way. He was known for being confrontational, and rumoured to always give a higher sentence to road users than necessary. Despite this Max was effective, and proved a skilled shooter. Promoted to interrogation work, he horsed many confessions, not all true, from criminals. This came to an end when he went too far with a particularly muscular criminal, who pounded Max to the ground. As he lay dying, a fellow policeman entered the cell, rendered the criminal unconscious, and explained he was a Gypium infiltrator. He said he was impressed with Max's work, and offered him a second chance at life, and a promotion. With no choice, not that he would have refused if he had one, Max was restored to life in a new, though identical, body. Whilst regenerating, however, his optic nerves were reconfigured, so that he could not miss his target (still no shooting through walls or around corners) and those he talked to would be compelled to answer his questions truthfully if eh looked them in the eye, or do as he told them. The enhancement altered his eyes to be red-coloured, so he was given contacts to show their original colours when among normal people. Somehow, he also took a liking for red at this point. Upon returning to Earth, Max found himself promoted to FBI interrogation level. Soon he was approached by Triarii, who were impressed by the potential of his hypnotism and impossible accuracy. He accepted their offer without question, and now works as an interrogator in superhero-related cases, and a crack shot when necessary. He retains his job at the FBI as cover, and for rank pulling when not using his hypnotism. This power comes in handy for his work as an interrogator.
Max is direct and confrontational, but able to work in a team.

Physical Stats
Speed: 8mph

Agility: 4

Weapon Skill: 3

Ballistic Skill: 8 (he can't miss, but can't shoot through things his ammo can't, or things he can't see)

Strength: 3

Toughness: 3

Powers
All these powers come from the Gypium reconfiguration.

Extreme accuracy:
Max was gifted with incredible accuracy. He has never yet missed a shot.

Once he aims for something, Max will hit it, unless the target moves out of sight. This does not apply for melee.

Hypnotism:
Once he has established eye contact with a target, Max's word is law, his gaze horseing truthful responses and total obedience.
Max can use his eyes to horse targets to answer his questions truthfully and do as he says. This is voluntary, and is not used when off-duty, though is useful for FBI interrogations of particularly stubborn criminals. The effectiveness of this depends on the strength of the target, and their preparedness. Self-harm cannot be ordered, however. Once the effect has been carried out, the target will have a memory blank for the duration of the effect.

Other Skills
Interrogation:
Max is primarily a policeman, and has spent most of his life, especially his FBI life, getting confessions from criminals. Even on the rare occasions he does not use his powers, he has the skills to conduct thorough interrogations.

Additional Notes
The Crimson Rifle:
The rifle has no special ammo or construction, but has been stripped of all targeting aids, as its wielder has no need for them. This has the added benefit of making it nearly useless for any enemies who pick it up.

VULCAN

Real Name: Iona East

Age: 18 [Highly suspect. She is probably below legal age]

Place of birth: Abuja, Nigeria

Physical description: Mixed Ethnicity, Red-Glowing Conductor-Lined Black Shirt and Trousers, Energy Projection Gloves, Flame-decal Bike Helmet (Kevlar-CeraMix) with Red Heads-Up Visor. Wisps of Brown Hair.

Biography: Born on her parent's trip to visit the land of her mother, Iona East has always been something of a child prodigy when it comes to construction. Her parents have not reported her missing, and analysis of her house has found a blocker on their TV and Internet searches for news pertaining to Iona or Vulcan, and additionally there is a remarkably lifelike drone in her place. Her birth date has been wiped from US files, apparently in a digital misplacement, and her parents did not care to comment about their family life. From what we have pieced together, Iona's parents were too busy working, one as secretary to the Senator of Wyoming, the other as head of accounting at Watson Incorporated, to notice that their daughter was developing the powers or gifts that she uses in the field. As a result of rising gun crime in neighbouring towns, Iona became Vulcan and scared off troublemakers with gun detectors and dart based sniper towers. There has been one major incidence of trouble in her career, where the local priest took offence to her 'devilish capabilities': the resulting mayhem resulted in fifteen tetanus shots required at the local hospital to treat the scrapes from the rusted shrapnel of the broken drone.

Physical Stats

Speed: 8 mph (70 mph)

Agility: 3 (4)

Weapon Skill: 2 (3)

Ballistic Skill: 2 (3)

Strength: 1 (8)

Toughness: 1 (4)

Powers.

Engineering Prodigy

Iona's mind is constantly abuzz with designs to solve problems ranging from breaking open eggs to portal engineering. Whilst she is limited to using knowledge she has learnt, preventing her from developing quantum technology amongst other highly complicated fields, she wields her knowledge of precollege electronics, mechanics and science like a well honed energy sword. Her current library records indicate she is midway through a series of books on computer programming and plasma physics, and has stopped borrowing thesis copies on the subjects of energy projection and electromagnetic propulsion.

Master Builder

Whilst not individually telekinesis or time dilation, Iona can assemble machines from scrap and everyday objects with speeds at least twenty times faster than an ordinary engineer, simply by touching the parts and putting them in place. Without tools, she can warp her projects subconsciously as though she had the required instruments, rivets and cutting occurring as pieces fly around. She has shown the ability to use this at range by standing in the exact centre a total of three times in three years, all when assembling projects that required vast quantities of materials. This only affects objects she is using to create a design, and opponent's weaponry and tools are rarely affected unless they have a unique component her project requires.
Drones

Since she claims, and evidence supports, that she has not yet completed the knowledge of programming to make autonomous drones, it is apparent that she possesses the ability to command her devices that have circuit boards within her line of sight. This does not correlate with accurate feedback: any cameras or similar equipment display what she subconsciously expects to there, preventing her using this ability for reconnaissance. She primarily uses this ability to fight, relying on her personal suite of devices to keep her away from the opponent's more powerful hits and her remote drones to take her place on the front line.

Other skills

Iona is a master of bureaucratic red tape. We'd put this in powers if it weren't so obviously a learned skill. She has used this ability to order industrial and military grade materials and goods in the past.
She is a poor violinist, and is tone deaf.
Iona can juggle up to ten balls and wins all the local darts tournaments.
She metabolises sugar like there's no tomorrow. She has never had a sugar crash or high.

Additional Notes

Vulcan is effectively a cross between Phineas and Ferb's eponymous characters, the Lego Movie's Master Builders and Gear from Static Shock.
She has a bad habit of using bits of the surrounding equipment currently in use. Examples include parts of a fuel storage tank, a policeman's gun and a hospital x-ray.

THE FACELESS

Player Name: The Dread King

Real Name: Cain Carter

Age: unknown. Possibly thousands of years old.

Place of birth: a small island off the northern coast of Scotland.

Physical description: the Faceless's appearance is never quite the same due to his unique abilities, but he is often a tall, gaunt, man. He has a Scottish accent, but this is by no means thick: centuries of experience around the world have rendered his speech almost non-linkable to any one location. The only feature that truly remains constant is the small bulge at the base of his neck, which is present for every face he takes. If people hoped to identify him using this, however, such hopes would be confounded, for he wears a black shirt and thick grey greatcoat (as well as black trousers, and rather well-shined shoes) that hide all of his physical features - except for his face, which is horribly variable. His hands are constantly gloved, and usually cradling a polished cane. Within his greatcoat are rows upon rows of small and medium-sized firearms, as well as ammunition. The cane is in fact a long, and extendable, metal rod with a crystal orb at its end - an orb with special properties...

Biography: Cain Carter was but a clansman, albeit a reserved and ambitious one, living on a small island, before an encounter with a dying alien who crash-landed to earth in a mysterious craft led to his clan's utter destruction. The sole survivor of the blast caused by the combustion of the spacecraft was the horribly mutated form of Cain. The giant crystal that had powered the spaceship appeared to have mysterious properties, although it had been destroyed in the blast. Aside from serious burns which have now left his form, Cain appeared to inherit certain powers from his exposure to the crystal. These include a lack of ageing and increased resistance to disease and toughness, as well as an increase in size and strength, and the mysterious power to change his face. Simply put, he can alter the shape of his face to match that of a different human being. He also kept a small shard of crystal from the spacecraft, a shard that has served him well over the centuries he has wandered the earth, his activities unknown.

Physical Stats

Speed: 12 mph - slightly stronger and faster than a normal human due to the effect of the crystal

Agility: 4 - he's kept fit and the crystal empowerment, as well as centuries of active life and training, have helped keep him agile.

Weapon Skill: 4 [6] - he's trained for centuries and is a big man. With his crystal-topped cane in hand, he is very powerful indeed.

Ballistic Skill: 3 [4] - whilst he has trained (with limited success) with ranged weaponry, his primary skills lie in close combat. That said, his cane allows him to use short-ranged energy bursts against his enemies, which he has practiced with for considerable time.

Strength: 4 [5] - a big man, as stated before, and enhanced by the crystal. With his weapon of choice, he becomes incredibly powerful, partly due to its properties, partly due to practice with it.

Toughness: 5 - increased toughness was one of the most significant boons the crystal granted him, aside form a lack of ageing, his weapon and his unique power. The physical punishment he endured, and its unique effects, hardened him to damage. His skin is incredibly tough, and his internal systems very, very resilient. He is very resistant to most diseases (hence his survival for hundreds of years).

Powers.

Face-changing
The bulge around Cain's neck is mostly concealed by his coat. Nonetheless, at times of transformation, it swells and the veins in it turn black. And something truly horrible happens. His face rearranges itself to that of a different person. It is not known how he does it. Nor is it known whose faces he is copying. His voice remains constant when he does this, but he can provide himself with valuable anonymity whenever he wills it due to this power, which has helped him kept himself hidden from the public eye over the centuries. His face of choice, however, is truly horrifying. It is simply nothing, nothing but a blank mask. There is his hair, his ears, and he seems to be able to smell, see, and talk from behind his faceless mask, but there is no doubt about it - he maintains complete anonymity simply by having no face.
Cain can change his face with minimal effort. It reveals his identity when he does it due to the convulsions in his neck that take place during the process, and his movement is limited while the transformation takes place. He cannot change his face to anything he chooses, however, or at least, he does not appear to be able to at the present time. Why the faces he changes to are what they are is currently unknown. If such an analysis could be carried out properly, the conclusion would be drawn that the faces that Cain has worn in recent years, at least - for surveillance in older times would be simply impossible - are exclusively the faces of those who are deceased. Such an analysis has not been carried out, however (at least, not to Cain's knowledge), but if it was, speculation would abound as to how he acquired these faces. An answer would probably not be forthcoming.

Immortality
In Cain's own words: "I do not grow old. I only grow."
Cain does not age. He is more resistant than any normal human (this excludes superhumans, of course) to disease and poisons, and regenerates significantly faster than most humans (e.g. a shallow cut across his arm will be reduced to nothing in minutes, a dismembered hand may take hours to grow back, and even then, the nerves in it may not be fully operational for some time).

Other skills

Genius - the crystal's effects dramatically widened his mental capacity. Hundreds of years of experience broadened his fields and depths of knowledge, too. He is incredibly knowledgable and extremely intelligent. As a result, he is an adept analyst, tactician and manipulator. He is an especially talented manipulator.

Of a superior species
Aside from the aforementioned boons the crystal granted him, it also grants him one other, minor (but still worth mentioning) ability. He is a Superior Being. He knows this, and so do those who work with or for him for long.
The terror and awe he inspires in humans, as well as his manipulatory skills, can coalesce to create loyalty in otherwise unreliable co-workers or subordinates of Cain. He seems to exude a natural aura of authority, perhaps resulting from his long years and powers but also from an ability to project his vast willpower onto others. The sheer ability of his brain allows him to influence (but not outright control) the decisions of others, by imposing his superior mind onto their own. Note that this works more if the subject is unaware of the use of this ability. It is a very taxing ability for Cain to use - doing it for more than a few minutes to a high degree against a capable mind will physically exhaust him. The reason this is not categorised as a superpower is because it only has a truly significant effect (e.g. a change in a completely resolved decision is induced) on more weak-willed people, especially those who do not try to resist it. It is very ineffective against those with strong will, high intellect or superpowers, in the last case simply because the victim's subconscious acknowledges that whilst Cain may be superior to humans, the same can be said for themselves, rendering his mental intimidation ineffective.

The Void Staff
This is but an ordinary metal black cane at first glance, with a crystal orb on its end. The crystal orb has powers beyond reckoning, however - and Cain can use those powers to devastating effect. It is known of the void staff, because that is what it reduces its enemies to - void. Only one has resisted its destructive power, and he is its wielder.
This can be used to fight foes in close combat both as a staff of sorts and as a channel for Cain's crystal, which is controlled through his will - his mind, influenced by the crystal which nearly destroyed it, now controls that which came into violent contact with it through a mental link. It blasts pulses of harmful energy into Cain's adversaries, which can knock them back, burn them, conduct electricity and heat, cause minor explosions (small enough so that they do not harm Cain, but do harm the foe on the receiving end of the staff) and electrocute them. The crystal is incredibly tough and resistant to various forms of damage, so those who sought to break it to defeat Cain in years gone by have launched their efforts to do so in vain. It is fused to the staff simply because the staff is welded onto it. It was done so in a forge many years ago, and Cain regularly inspects it to make sure that the link between the two parts of his weapon of choice is secure

As a ranged weapon, The Void Staff can launch waves and large bursts and balls of energy at Cain's enemies, at his will. Nonetheless, it has its limits. Unless Cain uses extreme focus and mental energy - the resource used to weaponise this crystal - any ranged missiles will not go more than 20 metres or so before dissipating harmlessly into the air.

Superhero Name: Crimson Eye

Real Name: Max Washington

Age: 36

Promoted to interrogation work, he forced many confessions, not all true, from criminals.

Powers

Both these powers come from the Gypium reconfiguration. His eyes glow red whilst they are being used, indicated by red text.

Extreme accuracy:
Max was gifted with incredible accuracy. He has never yet missed a shot.

Once he aims for something, Max will hit it, unless the target moves out of sight. This does not apply for melee.

Hypnotism:
Once he has established eye contact with a target, Max's word is law, his gaze forcing truthful responses and total obedience.

Max can use his eyes to force targets to answer his questions truthfully and do as he says.

Interesting fact: I get email alerts for any new threads on Theatre de Vampyre.

I'm back!

---------

Personal Info

Superhero name: Vulcan

@The Archivist You're...you're back? But how? :o Is this truly the end of days?

Glad I wasn't a lonely Theatre mod. xD

In all seriousness, I should - I will - post up a bio tomorrow for this RP. It's about time I got involved in another RP; selling my soul to the TVC II entirely could have proved slightly wearying.

I see who you're adapting, Get!:) Just as well he's on our side. I wouldn't like to fight him...

Thanks Vash! He's my favourite DC character :)

You wouldn't happen to be doing a loose adapation on a certain marksman for hire from the same universe, are you?

P.S. changed his superhero name because swiftblade sounds silly.

Awesome, I'm glad I've already got people signing up and I like all the characters. Only thing is, GoW, 7 might be a little high for his armour. The difference between 6 and 7 is the difference between needing a gun this size to even slightly worry him

And needing one this size

Toughness 5(6) might be a bit better. If it was deliberate, I don't mind, but I know you said stats could be a bit confusing. Bear in mind, one of Alpha Force I've statted up with a weaker healing factor than you and wearing plate armour made out of, essentially, tank hulls only has 4(6).

Ooh, and Archi, glad to see you're back, just to check, are the bracketed stats due to power armour or do they refer to the drones' stats?

I'll happily do 6 then! You're quite right, it's my confusion over stats! Even though it's made out of a special alloy it's not suppose to be utterly impenetrable!

P.S. I enjoyed the imagery accompanying the explanation :D

The brackets are levels she can reach by creating suit-held devices to improve them. The drones vary so wildly, from a simple bowling ball catapult to an explosive RC car, that I wouldn't want to try giving them specific stats unless you want me to.

Well yes I am! Except, of course, Crimson Eye is quite a bit more on the side of law.
And Blademaster does sound better.

Awesome, that makes sense. You don't need to bother with stats for the drones, so long as you describe roughly what they can do before actually using them (so they won't be blown out of the air by pistol fire if they aren't meant to be)

Yeah, but I only started it 'cause you came up with the idea of a superhero roleplay and got my mind racing about how I'd run one...

Personal Info

Superhero name: The Faceless

Additional Notes

I hope this character is acceptable, and that his history does not stretch boundaries too much. @spineyrequiem Are we able to write side plots for our characters in this RP? If so, I have one planned. If not, never mind.

@The Archivist Now that you're back, would you be willing to resume RPing the TVC II again? Also, bring Harland back. I know he's hiding somewhere in the darkest corners of the forums

Finally, my apologies for the tardiness of the uploading of this bio.

Edit: and congratulations to @Ghouly and @spineyrequiem for their work on creating this RP! I hope you (and others) make more RPs here on CN in the future. We need and want them, after all, as a playerbase.

It's a bad sign when two of the team have mind-control powers of one description or another...

I must agree. Several thousands years old, face changing, super resilient, void staff, loyalty mind powers. I wouldn't want to fight him. Though a sniper shot through the heart might do something...

I'll edit my post to make it more clear: his powers are weak and only apply to those with weak will. It's a bit like aura of dark majesty from warhammer: he jusy exudes superiority and some are thus compelled to serve. I'll clarify that in my bio now amd also reduce his stats. I didn't realise that he was so powerful compared to the other characters. I will change that. I wouldn't want to roll with a covert Mary Sue.
