I like the idea of having thematic terrain for my armies and want ideas for my vampire counts army. I have trees (firs and leaf) and some wheat fields made from door mats that works in most settings but want to bulk it up with something thematic

I know about the Sigmarite Maosoleum but I don't think I'm a fan of it.

I have thought about making a graveyard with some resin gravestones from greenstuffworld.
I flipped through 'how to build wargames terrain' from 1996 and they had stone circles and burial mounds (mounds would be neat since they can be used as barrow downs for LOTR which I also play). I thought about making something like that. I passed by a grave field a few weeks ago and got an idea of using the tutorial to make a ship setting.

Since it was a part of the Empire I thought about making a house with wattle and daub.

What terrain do you have for your armies?
Please share ideas and pictures!

There's supposedly a new generic/non-season based war cry starter box coming out in the not too distant future with some new terrain designed to go with the GW mausoleum kit.

As I said I don't want to use the mausoleum kit so I don't think a new kit to go with the old would be what I'm looking for either.

Have any of you built your own terrain/scenery pieces for your Vampire counts army?

The Wargames terrain from 1996 inspired me so yesterday I three this dolmen. I made some clump foliage as well. I Painted the dolmen and flocked it today, happy with how it turned out!

Today I managed to get time to make this shipsetting. I have a good feeling about it!

I realised I never showed the end result.
In the end I made another piece with two smaller ship settings and two hills, which turned out much smaller than I thought they would.
I painted them brown and dark grey and then drybrushed, many layers. I ended with applying static grass and the clump foliage I made.

It all turned out pretty good, I'm not too satisfied with the hills since they are too small for my taste, but the others are very neat.
