Well, an odd thread, but the thought suddenly came to me! Seeing as vampires are technically dead, when they do it, is it necrophilia? And seeing as they're both dead, they're both committing necrophilia!

Weird, eh? No wonder the Empire don't like them; they break the law every time they have a baby! :perv:

Isn't necrophilia more about corpses and body parts? Vampire are still at least part alive and they look like living people in most cases so I wouldn't call it necrophilia to do it with a vampire.

Well, unless the body you're...doing...has been cut apart, it's still whole. And vampires aren't really alive at all.

So, I guess it's necrophilia. Now how long is my prison sentence? (What with murder, rape, and necrophilia all in one package...!)

i think a better question is how would vampires be capable of doing it? being dead they dont have a heart beat and should technically be unable to rise to the task. it would suck if that was the only part of you unable to go stiff wouldn't it?

This is turning way to True Blood / Vampire Diaries to be honest, tho the magical viagra... dunno bout that. there dead, there already stiff (baaaziiiiiiiing) gonna give myself that one)

But in all honesty why would they "do it"? I mean in all honesty i think they have more on their mind then getting down and dirty.

Besides im sure if vampires were doing it, they wouldnt have to worry about wrapping it up, there dead. and im not sure it would count as necrophilia. thats like saying two dogs makin babies is beastiality. Which it kind of is in all technicalities but its same species so...yea.

Fritz von Carstein had a lot on his mind, but liked "getting down & dirty" anyway.

"thats like saying two dogs makin babies is beastiality. Which it kind of is in all technicalities but its same species so...yea."

How about if one of the dogs is dead? Please, for the sake of the children, consider your analogies thoroughly next time.

Carlisle, whats the point of being a supernatural superpowerful blood sucking vampire if you can't have sex? Whats more sexual than biting someone and draining their blood? Also, how would Lahmians be so seductive without being sexual?
Also, your name is suspiciously similar to that of a twilight character.

Im sure a vampire could have sex if he/she wanted but i wouldnt consider it necrophilia if its with another vamp. as for if it was with a human, id assume it would start as normal sex, but by the time its over the human is now a corpse due to the vampire feeding frenzy. makes sense, i mean if i was a vamp id like to have my cake and eat it to

in terms of the name it was my my late grandfathers. i needed a vampire name for my lord and i just decided to use his, also came into mind for this vamp forum (might as well use my armies general's name). if i were to use a vamp name from twilight (which if i was picking movie names id go more for blade, specifically blade 2 the old ass vamp that looks like a necrach) i would pick somthing at least semi-badass (if thats possible) like Laurent or Aro.

This is of course assuming Vampires tap their food for anything but their blood. It is unlikely since you'd need a solid bloodflow for that and the vampire is dead and dying constantly. I do believe there is some poster in meme-style with the tagline "Contrary to popular beliefs, vampires do NOT f*** their food". I am, however, dead certain vampires can enjoy something similiar to sex with another vampire, or even when feeding as the blood itself is one helluva kick in itself.

Here it is...
Food > Sex(no nudity)

The concept of a vampire as a human love interest needs to die(badabom-tish). The whole idea of vampire is the forbidden but also of a darker side, ie, the reason for its forbidden nature is the dangers and path to damnation(and of course the beast lurking within).

Though to answer your question, no, they're both undead. It be the same as to call humans making love beastiality.

Personally I wonder- just because a vampire has no heartbeat, does that necesarilly mean it has no bloodflow? All that blood they drink has to have some purpose, nutritional in nature (as they waste away and become like the necrarches if they dont feed). My theory is that they do have bloodflow, perhaps magical in nature. The rational for them needing to feed could be because of their bone marrow being somehow unable to create blood cells (due to being dead?)
As such they then must feed to keep in enough blood to flow around their bodies and keep everything fresh and functional (unless they are a necrarch, in which case they just resort to magic to stay functional)

In the 6th edition book the vampire who got impaled by a lance did not bleed at all. It was also mentioned that the vampire had fed well before this event.

Vampires in warhammer are different. Instead of lightening fast they are very fast but also much tougher and unlike movie/book vampires GWs vampires cannot bleed to death. The appearence of a vampire depends on how 'pure' it remains, which is the true reason for the Necrarchs condition. Too much raw magic instead of the blood of mortals(which is a more refined, or pure source). Just look at the story with the vampire slaying orcs in our current book, instead of the blood he goes for the essence, or magic, of the orc. As far as the blood-kiss goes we don't really know. Most sources are unofficial and fan-made and personally I think some of them are just weird(apparently Strigoi vomit in the mouths of corpses.... Yeah, that was my reaction as well...). Somehow I get the feeling there is a whole lot more than the simple turning we see in movies and books, it certianly hints at that anyways.

Vampires don't really need the Blood they need the magic in the Blood. everything in the Warhammer World is soaked in magic. Lhamains, von,Carstines and Blood Dragons filter magic through the Blood.

Nerarchs and the Strigori they go where magic pools per-say for the Nerarchs its a choice to assorb pure un-filtered Dark Magic witch corrupts them, Strigori are feeding on dregs Rats,Lepers, corpes. that sort of stuff.

Wouldn't be necrophilia if two undead creatures have sex, its a living and dead person that is.

@Angel: The body parts thing isn't necrophilia, munging involves a dead woman, but is not considered necrophilia.

The bleeding/blood flow thing depends on what you want to believe, many different variations of vampires done by a ton of different people and mediums. In Vampire The Masquerade they don't bleed and among my gaming group we always said you needed to spend a blood point to "make it work" and an additional point for the climax part which we sometimes used to blood bond people.

I don't think the blood kiss is all there is to it either. In most things concerning vampires they exist because of nature, the devil or as a curse. Since vampires in warhammer came about because of magic, I would think at least some incantation as well as the transference of blood would be needed to create a new vampire from an existing one. Vampire Wars has me thinking differently though, Vlad sires Isabella and Jerek pretty much by the j random standard I drain you then I feed you some of my blood and they wake up hours later as a vampire.

I just gotta say, The Necro Files, look it up, bad B horror movie with an undead rapist so the necrophilia is a bit backwards.

I think this is a perfect case for one of those 'Road Trip' rebuttals - like 'it doesn't count as cheating if you're in a different postcode'... It doesn't count as necrophilia if they're both dead - one would cancel the other out. Kinda like two negatives making a positive... xD

And supernatural viagra - raising the dead, stupendous.

*Puts on cheesy advertisement on daytime TV voice*
Paying for viagra after death? Just take riggermortis for all it's worth :D

On the topic of coitus with a member of the living impared, I remember back ages ago when Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion was recently released on 360, there was one NPC I found and when you tried talking to her about rumours, she'd casually ask you what the fine for necrophilia was. If you say "WHAT?!!?!!1", she says nevermind, if you say "Oh.. about 500", she smiles with joy and says it's much cheaper than her last home. I sprung that little convo for one of my friends who never played Oblivion before, he laughed so hard I thought he might just wee a little
