My Vampire counts army - with a dash of blues...:)

Freehands just require practice. I guess I'm kind of lucky because I have a degree in graphic design, so the whole thing feels very natural with relatively little practice. Here's a pro tip for you: draw your freehand banners with a pencil first. Yes, paint it ON THE BANNER ITSELF. The...

My Vampire counts army - with a dash of blues...:)

You just need some clay, some basic sculpting skills (i'm talking torsos and clothes) and some bits for hands a faces. It's mostly creativity, in my humble oppinion. The hardest bit is the wiring. You have to make a "skeleton" under your green stuff. That's something most miniaturists are not...

My Vampire counts army - with a dash of blues...:)

As my sig states, I do commissions. So yeah, I'm working on a lot of stuff right now. Sorry all for not updating this thread, mainly because I've taken a step back from gaming and am concentrating on my work. I will be posting a couple of my newer works on the Faces of Our Next Meal forums...

    Mordanthian Guard

Nice overall look. Might I suggest that you do the paint mixing more often when doing highlights and such...it'd help you a lot.

    Morheim commission by BustedBrush

Thank you very much for all your feedback. As I always say, warhammer models should never be painted like they came out of a washing machine. War and medieval times were NEVER clean and should be treated as such. For the reference: spend 30 minutes on a hypothetical battlefield and you'll see...

    Morheim commission by BustedBrush

Oh boy. Haven't seen my work all put together yet (I usually do a commission, he picks it up and gives me another one to work on). I don't wanna sound egoistic, but that looks pretty sweet!!!

I voted for illusionarypresence's yellow vampires. The color work on them is awesome! Vlad is awesome too, btw. :)

The color formula is really nothing special. Black undercoat and gradual mixing of royal purple and good ol' white.

    Stegadon Ancient WIP by Bustedbrush

Thanks for the comments. Well, the horns are mostly done, but need a bit of tweakage. Also, as it is with all closeups, you get to notice some details that could use a little touch-up. More pics will be posted as i continue to work on the model!

The right spirit is actually crawling over the wall. As for the "putting models into the wall thing"...there is none. This spirit host is mostly scratch scuplted. The only thing that wasnt sculpted were some faces and hand palms.

    Stegadon Ancient WIP by Bustedbrush

Here's my Ancient steg that i've been working on as a hiatus from my commision work. Yes, I DO own a lizardmen army, but they're not even as close as good compared to my vampire counts. The only thing that will, I suppose, stick out is my new stegadon which will require about 2 to 3 weeks of...
