7th, because - well, that's where we were. Almost everyone here either quit completely when AoS arrived, or just went on with what we enjoyed. So now there are just the 3 of us. But with 7 armies between us, it doesn't get boring.

Apart from Undead, Dwarves, Elves, and O&G, which we already have in large amounts, I'm seriously looking at a Forces of Nature army. I've got several Lizardman models as a starting point, so the ideas process is fermenting nicely.

I n full kit, without weapons or shield, I'm carrying about 26 kilos. With the rest, maybe another 5-6. It shows after a long day! Which is partly why my doctor thought his blood pressure machine was crocked - he didn't think someone my age would be that fit!

On the subject of speculation of history, what bugs me all the time is the 'stratification' of eras. New technologies took time to spread, and although some wealthy/ powerful individuals would have had the latest equipment and weaponry, it would be some years before that kind of expensive...

It is a bit depressing. I try really hard to match my kit to museum pieces or to manuscript illuminations, but have been told off for " inaccuracy" by people wearing point shoes.( " errr , 200 years or so out!") It is very difficult to be 100% right , but it's not hard to make the effort. Combat...
