you should probably use a matt varnish for banners though. I think vallejo has matt varnish in pots, but GW only sells matt varnish spray cans and that would solve the problem of brushing away the paint. though I haven't heard much positive reviews of the GW matt varnish, bubbles etc. :(

RE: Primewill's painting log Finished my hexwraiths today! these were surprisingly annoying to paint, haha. Lots of hardly accessible places. I decided to try out the tufts of cotton on the base as I've seen done on this forum, quite pleased with the effect.
