I'd say the "slaves" don't need to be their own unit, merely the zombie pirates that aren't given any upgrades should be weak enough. Perhaps have the Zombie Pirates - Upgrade to Hand Weapon + Pistol - Upgrade to Handgun - Some kind of Melee upgrade, or not.

I believe that's the standard rule. If you can't fit, you can't move/charge there.

How about making a lower ranked "zombie sailor" for the core and making a "zombie pirate" someone mentionned above a special choice? with multiple equipment options etc?

I like the idea of the Shipwrecks joining units and confering a bonus, how about rendering them able to march? So they can leave the side of their vampire master. Or perhaps allowing them to cast a VHD-style bound spell on the unit they are attached to.

The whole Pha's Illumination + Ethereal combo would be a great choice against daemons, since you also get a 5+ Magic Missile that deals D6 S6 hits to Daemons or a 10+ version that affects multiple targets. I may have to try that one mwahaha.

I was just wondering where exactly the rules for shooting / seeing / moving into or out of a forest is? I couldn't find it in the BRB. For instance that if you are 2" inside a wood enemies can't see you etc. Where is that written?

I think the terrain wouldn't favour them, not as flat as Nehekkhara. Quite rocky!
