5th edition with liberal amounts of house rules and cherry-picked stuff. The freedom in army lists (just "regiments" rather than "core/special/rare"), the magic phase (an entirely separate mini-game with cards!) and the colourful rules (things got crazy in the 90s) makes it the best overall package!
