Copy-pasted from an advice reply over on T9A for Mad 'At's Citycape Skirmish Blog, since much of it could be of general interest to wargamers all over. Mad 'At is by the way an accomplished scenery builder and miniature painter, as should be evident here, and it's something out of the ordinary...
Hehe, well, an index compilation sticky sure is handy! Good work.
I might give you a run for your money with the updating in weeks/months to come. We'll see.
Chaos Dwarfs Online, being a creative hobby hub from the very start, have a larger hobby section than does most forums. Though it might not be of interest for this site to expand its own hobby forum section to the full extent which CDO has done, it should be apparent that there is something to...
The ancient Mesopotamian dispute fable between the palm and the tamarisk trees, written 2000 BC (more here on the importance of gardens in ancient Mesopotamia):
The date palm stood for roughly half of southern Mesopotamia's food intake during the Neo-Babylonian empire (grain the other half...
Stopgap fix to Photobucket images under lockdown (my emboldening), from Warseer's Captain Brown:
Those who have not yet replaced their own Photobucket pictures with identical pictures hosted elsewhere, may want to scour their army blogs and other hobby threads. However, adding ~original to...

Chainmail Sculpting...

Can you guess what the shape of our majstänger...
Warmth. Comfort. Rest. Swathed in darkness, the mind of a man drifted between consciousness and sleep upon the swampy mangrove shores of distant Pigbarter. It was a mind suckling this rare peace. It was a mind as hardened as the gnarled body it inhabited.
Originally from Marienburg, the man had...
My pleasure, nice to hear they're of use to you! There is also one anatomical tutorial which you cannot see on this site. Got warned for it. Bah, if you can see it, you can sculpt it!
Not mine. The guy who crafted this terrain have a fantastic army to match it, though I've not seen those forces around for some years. His terrain, lent to a Warhammer club, does stick around to beautify tabletop battles year after year. Much of it is magnetized.
Made upon request over on Warhammer Empire. I've not sculpted lamellar before, and have no showcase miniature to accompany the tutorial, so this was made up on the spot. Better results are probably achieved by taking it in steps and waiting for one stage to dry before continuing to next, but...
