I've been working on my 'Bat' Swarms these days and have finally got them ready for paint:
6 Ravening Flocks from the Beasts of Chaos Endless Spells kit. I wanted to have these flying swarms interacting somehow with the scenery in my army, and so had the idea of using a tree as the centre...
March has been a very productive month for me. I've managed to square away a massive 26 minis (some Snotlings, but they still count :) ) and have got about a third into the second Night Goblin short bows unit.
Building on my small batch of seven to kick off the unit, I've added a few fillers...
Batch #3 of the Grave Guard have been finished for a while, completing the unit. I've also made a dent in a massive Night Goblin expansion; 7 to start off the unit, including the command group and a mini filler - NG Filler #9 - 'Dibbz' from Zarbag's Gitz.
Here we go then - a few images and work to share.
In my last post I mentioned that I've planned a pretty sizeable addition to my current Orcs & Goblins force, so here's a few things that I've picked up over the past 6 months or so...
After tallying up my remaining night goblins I have left...
Here we go, I've finally got around to taking some photos of my work that I haven't shown yet. Let's start with those trees...
One finished old school Citadel Wood. I opted for basing them on 80mm circular bases rather than using the scenic base it comes with because the main purpose is to...
It's been a little while since I've made any updates here but I thought I'd drop by and warm up the forge before posting my recent work.
Last year I spent the majority of my hobby time (which wasn't enough) working on this army, and I'm pleased to say that I finished the Grave Guard unit around...
It's been nigh on a year since I've made any updates here but I thought I'd drop by and warm up the forge before posting my recent work.
Last year I spent the majority of my hobby time working on my VC army, so didn't add much at all to the greenskins in 2019. I've since decided to make a...
The Grave Guard are coming along pretty well - should have them done next week. I've also managed to finish a few trees for the cabinet - they've added a nice touch to the army!
Fresh off the table, here's the first batch of Vargs done:
With our current competition being a big motivator to make some progress on these, I naturally opted for the conversions first as they're the more interesting ones to work on. Alas, having these three done is now a massive motivator...
Disgusting and superb - he has that cute ugly image you were after for sure! He kinda reminds me of Mr. Oogy Boogey from The Nightmare Before Christmas film :D
Excellent job on the sculpting and good call on doing a test sculpt beforehand, it's paid off.
'The Bearded Troll Lady'... definitely warrants a look xD
What a coo and unique mini, an excellent fit for the circus. Nice fire-breathing gobbo and beautiful army shots too!
@robtion Such an awesome mini. Makes me cringe thinking about what kind of special attacks he has... does he belch some vile nastiness from his drain-covered mouth? Or does that drain cover in his chest open?... I feel sorry for the poor soul that finds out.
Great work on this guy, never would...
Beautiful entries everyone
A hard choice once again. I think you've hit the nail on the head right there @Shadespyre - a stunning example of a creature of the night. You have my vote.
I'm a massive fan of @robtion 's Sewer Golem too - a solid competitor and a classic example of the crazy stuff...
@Borgnine Thanks mate, that’s good to know because I’ve finished my entry but since experienced a power cut before having the chance to photograph them. :swear:
Please bear with me until Monday chaps when I have time to get pictures done.
Cheers,
Farmer
