There's nothing saying that you can't run that list in AOS. It might not have as much synergy as running straight Nighthaunt or Soulblight, but it's still playable. There hasn't been enough time to see which Death lists do well in tournaments but before the new GHB, Death smoothies always did well.

I did actually remove the Varghulf in order to summon it with the command ability, which would also put it on any table edge with the ghoul patrol This also makes it a two drop list. As for the ghouls, they can heal themselves via the battalion as well as being healed by the ghast and varghulf...

So playing straight TK isn't really a thing any more. However, the entirety of TK isn't useless either. I think "Settra is still good and worth considering, but 460 points for an 8 wound model might be a little too risky. I am strongly considering taking a bone giant and/or casket of souls...

Tournament was this last weekend and I ended playing against both of those players. lol. I'll be posting batreps soon. It was GHB1.

I've been doing some theory crafting. I've always thought the Blood Knights' save is garbage in AOS. In old world it was a 2+, Now it's a 3+ and your enemies get extra rend against them. I'm excited to finally have a reason to paint my kit-bash Abyssal Terror.

Yeah. I played a 1000 point game of Nighthaunt for the first time a few months ago against Ironjawz and completely destroyed them. I haven't played soulblight yet.
